Ok...phoned them-£1k limit. Would have been nice to have more but at least now i have a card with a 1/2 decent limit...APR 24.9%...again not FAB but a step in the right direction. Half-tempted to try for another one.....(!!!!!!!!).

Applied last night for a second Sygma (think it was the 0% purchases one)...on hitting 'confirm' the next page was a 'internet explorer can't display this page' (??!!). No e-mail saying referred/declined/authorised. Refreshed page but got creation/Sygmas message 'there has been an error-please not we have not stored your details'.

Called this AM -it was referred purely as it was a duplicate (i.e. Flybe already approved)-the (very helpfull!) staff member got a supervisor to 'overide it' & hey presto-authorised & 2K limit! So....two applications in 2 days-Flybe with 1k & creation 0% mastercrd with 2 k! RESULT! Oncew received i think Vanquis & Capital ones days are numbered....(!!)
  • Hi Debtmonkey1A, A couple of questions if you dont mind.

How look had you held the Cap1 and the Vanquis cards for?
Do you have any defaults or late questions?

Hi! Vanquis since Feb this year, Cap 1 I think since June/July this yr (£200 started now £400), Aqua feb this year (£400 then £700 after 3 months). No-no defaults/lates at all. Would have showed on their search about £80 in total used on 1 card (other 2 no balance) & £280 used of an £800 O/D. I'm paid monthly. I also have completed the mycashplus creditbuilder (£6 a month over a year-reported as a loan & shows the 'o'sss & settled) in September.

I have held their JJB card for some 2 years now - nil balance due to rate jacking, but still held because I usually receive a bt offer in the new year which I find useful. So I was surprised to receive the following e-mail:

Thank you for applying for the Creation card. We’re pleased to tell you your application was successful. Your new card and PIN will be with you within 7 to 10 days.
For security reasons, please call 0871 200 0347 immediately to confirm your card has arrived safely.

We sent you an email in error today. This was as a result of human error, and I can reassure you that no application has been processed. You don’t need to do anything.
We apologise sincerely for this regrettable error and confirm that the previous email can be deleted.

Now I will need to check equifax to see if they have made any fresh searches.

I got exactly the same 2 emails regarding an old Sygma (Wolves) Mastercard

think most got the sygma emails, inregards to their criteria they do accept defaults.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Got to love Sygma, I got a letter the other day from them saying that as I have a silvercard I have been pre-approved for a creation card - despite the fact that I have had a creation card for over a year! Think I read that they only allow you to have one of each card so didn't bother applying for a second.

I think they just dont know what they are doing, also their cards really are not worth it for the perks eg flybe (expires after 2 years points do), silver..... rubbish discounts.

  • Has anyone been sucessful in securing a sygma product with a CCJ? (mines 5 years and 5 months old)
