a lot of new credit could go against you
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

They seem to increase the interest rate on all of their cards to people who are carrying a balance, irrespective of the initial rate.
Not heard of anyone with them who has had a reduction in % rate.

Called them today and they confirmed that a decision has been made and posted, but would not be able to tell me what the decision was.

Hoping to see an a small credit limit sometime this week in the post but somehow have a feeling that I have been declined.......

I got referred on my 2nd Sygma card application getting the 7 - 10 day message. I rang in a couple days later and was told it came back from the underwriter and was approved.

The letter does sound to me like a decline letter as the customer rep could have told you there and then as they did for me. This was probably a more tactful way the rep told you saving you any embarrassment over the phone.

Fingers crossed though and keep us posted on the result :)

It's likely you've been declined...Otherwise they would be no reason what they could not tell you you'd been accepted..

Got rejected by Sygma today - their letter states that the amount of data on the credit report available was insufficient to make an informed decision.

However an appeal with my bank went through and they offered me a card with 1000 GBP limit. this limit will be reviewed after 6 months against their internal criteria.
