gonna receive my 3rd statement sometime in the next 10 days
    you cant change yesterday
but you can make tomorrow better
  • Based on reading though this thread, it seems creation are quite lenient?

they seem to be accepting people left/right/center even if their credit isn't too good.

might apply in 12 months hopefully they don't change their tighten their acceptance policy by then!

I had a postive experince with Creation Credits Card today.

Got my 12mth interest free on purchases card a few months ago.

Missed the first payment as DD not set-up on time. But they sort of said it was their fault and refunded the charges and put me back in the interest free period (I lost it automatically).

Then I went over my credit limit by a few pence and was charged again. I paid off an amount immediately (but 2 days to clear). I called to get the charges cleared but they said no.

I paid off the full balance on the card (less charges). I sent a cheque, with a letter saying I was making a "full and final settlement" - reverse the charges and to close the account.

They took the payment but didn't reverse the charges and the account remained open.

I called on 2 different occasions, saying having accepted the cheque, they are now obliged to cancel the charges (don't know if I am actually right though). First time was at the weekend and they asked I call again during the week, when CS open.

But CS said nothing they could do, I just had to pay up but they could close the account in the meantime.

Got put through to account closures and I was asked why I was leaving. I explained the situation.

CS asked if they cancelled the charges woudl I stay? I said only if they could offer me 12mths again.

They said 6 was the best they could do.

    Sold!!

Why don't you just quit whinging to them about things that are 100% your fault and use your card responsibly and in an adult manner? Everyone else here manages to.

Everything will stay as it is - When you clear the balance the account will close.

Can you cancel a sygma card using the online messaging service rather than calling them?

Been a few months since I asked this and wanted to confirm that you can cancel using the online messaging service. Cancelled Flybe and Creation cards this way. Both confirmed as cancelled within 24 hours of request.

Applied for Mariott rewards today - have been referred and will receive a response in 7-10 business days. Does this mean I will be rejected?

Annual income of 45K - have been trying to build credit history after I realised that my Barclays account that I opened after I moved to UK 3.5 years ago was an international account!

Switched to a 3.5 year old but never used Lloyds account 4 months ago- got an overdraft of 3000 approved on it soon after. and opened a 250 GBP credit limit Capital One card around the same time.

Also a phone contract running for the past 3.5 years and a new current account (FD) in december.

I am quite tired of trying to establish credit! Why wouldnt they just realise that I am a well earning person with very little liabilities and have appetite for further credit and give me a small credit limit?
