Ipad hits u.s market today, Does it really worth to buy?

Congratulation to Apple.
Here is our thread start, why do we need to have Ipad, At home happy with laptop, it has got more functionalities than Ipad, Outside home just need a small compact like Iphone is enough, who will be interested to buy Ipad.
Even i'm not sure why do i have to buy that even if i have some spare cash.

I cant see ipad being used by everyday people, its too bulky for starters which makes hard to conceal0

It's also better built than a cheap laptop, has a better screen, is more responsive, has longer battery life, and is smaller and more portable. A cheap laptop is just that: a cheap laptop. I'm glad we're in agreement that the iPad is certainly nothing like a cheap laptop.
Content providers are already scrambling to make their websites iPad friendly; I really don't see what the big deal is about Flash. I guess it's just because it's an obvious target.0 -
I've noticed that it has an IPS screen, which is almost unheard of for a portable device.
This would make it good for things like viewing photos where accurate colours are useful.0 -

It doesn't have a headphone socket (so no listening to songs when your working)
It can't multitask (which is one reason why I got rid of the Iphone...A HUGE REASON NOT TO BUY IT)
It doesn't have flash (so thats 70% of online videos you can't watch)
No USB (yes you can't even sit back and use a mouse with it- and before you say why would I it touch screen...then why have they brought out a external keyboard for it) You can't even use the new Magic mouse from Apple with it!!
No SD card.....so I have to load my pics onto another LAPTOP to add them to my Ipad.....but apple say this replaces a laptop!!
No Camera.....not a deal breaker for me....but why no webcam...those cheap notebooks have them.
No Video out...so once you've messed about on your laptop converting your movies to MPEG 4 to load onto your Ipad....you can't play it on your TV
no way to print documents over the network (yet you can do work on it)
small hard drive
no way to connect a CD/DVD drive
It is in no way the best way to browse the web....my 22inch monitor on my PC or my 18inch screen on my laptop does it far better
The games are Cr*p
if you already have a smartphone or a laptop....its a waste of money
Its a typical Apple launch....just like the first Iphone.....full of hype yet doesn't deliver nothing new......MAYBE the next Ipad will be better but this one is a waste of money.
And before you start I have a MacBook Pro which I really enjoy.
Plus I'm sure there are many other reasons as to why NOT to buy an IPad...well not the first one anyway.
Oh and you will be constantly cleaning the screen....like I use to with my Iphone.If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
