Money in purse: £1.20
Money in bank: £605.82 + £1050+ £80 = £1735.82
Bills still to pay: £1450.36
Petrol still needed: £80
"Left over": £205.46
Not as drastic as it looks (as usual!) Still got £80 child benefit to go in and £1050 from OH. Did the shopping for the month today, spent £154! This is all the meat for the month and all the dinners/meals. I tend to buy it all in one go and seperate/freeze it. I will only need to buy bread/milk/fruit throughout the month.
Don't really know how to allocate the remaining funds at the moment, I will leave it untouched for as long as possible. Will definately be leaving my purse at home when going to work etc although I need to get some cash out to give to DM at some point, plus need to pay for my car parts tomorrow. Will prob do all that tomorrow and then leave it at home for the rest of the week.
Today I have made a batch of Twinks and two batches of Millies, one with cherries in and one with fudge. These will help towards lunches for the next week or so! I have plenty of ingredients left to make more as well. Tesco Value golden syrup made the Twinks a lot nicer!
Two birthdays this month, DN's and DSS. Already have the present for DN and one present for DSS. Now need a few other bits, a main present for DSS and a little present for DN. Also need cards for both, no wrapping paper though, got that in stock. Hot water has been on all day  but have been cleaning/washing up all day so needed it. DD also having a bath in a bit.
Still to do today:-
- [STRIKE]Tidy living room after OH's DM has made a mess with DD.[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Clear kitchen and wash up[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Cut up and prep left over beef for stir fry on tuesday / sandwiches[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Write up meal plan and stick on fridge, have done one weeks worth, but it's complicated![/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Sort out the rest of the HC[/STRIKE] and iron the work clothes, boo.........
- Sort out stuff and load to ebay??? Was supposed to do this yesterday but didn't
- [STRIKE]Do eyebrows etc and general me prep[/STRIKE], couldn't get my colour hair dye in Mr T's this morning, which is a shame cos it was all reduced to £3.50. Will have to keep an eye on these.
Wow have I got time for all this stuff at twenty past 6????Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
PS I never found the scurrying thing. I think it's inside the internal wall, the rest of the walls in this house are thick and solid.
Right, to work!Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
Very naughty today...went to a "business meeting" in Poole this morning. Very boring, damn near fell asleep! Anyway, on the way back we were starving so stopped in at MacDonalds! I swear I haven't had a Maccy D's for YEARS! Anyway so two of the others didn't bring any money (very smart...) so I ended up buying £15 worth of Maccy D's! Admittedly I'll get a tenner back tomorrow if I'm lucky but still, not very MSE...
The mad thing is, that was at 2pm and now I'm starving again :S it really is trash that food.
Anyway so going home to a meal of chicken wrapped in bacon for dinner tonight, looking forward to that. Probably do with home made chunky chips!
Might pop into Mr T's on the way home and see if they have my colour hair dye yet, depends on how tired DD is today. Oh my colleagues are back from the meeting! Will log out now and update when I get homeNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
Money in purse: £10.00
Money in bank: £172.02 + £1050 = £1222.02
Bills still to pay: £1123.60
Petrol still needed: £60 / £60 in fuel account
"Left over": £108.42
Things better than I initially thought as the left over is "my" money. Purely what I have to spend on myself - bearing in mind I never really spend any money on myself anyway this is a bonus! I don't NEED anything, not WANT anything at the moment so might be able to eek this into next month. Plus OH has taken £30 out of my account for odds and sods today which he normally gives me back anyway as he knows it wouldn't have been in my budget.
Am having a NSD today, OH's things don't count to me as it will be refunded. I have updated all my spreadsheet, made 2 x PAD. £5.14 to Egg and £2.10 to Barclaycard, sold purges, now up to £20 for the week!Am also on £1109 for labour sales so far today and it's only 12.45pm. All looking positive, more positive than yesterday anyway, good lord that was a horrible day!
I gorged myself on HM biscuits this morning so by the time I got into work I wasn't feeling very well and haven't eaten a lot this morning...as a result I should have some left overs and take less tomorrow! As I think Kel said the other day (or was it DNMS), every cloud.........Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
Well done on the money front! :T
Glad you are having a positive day...long may it continue!!!Orange Fairy

Money in purse: £5.50
Money in bank: £145.86 + £1050 = £1195.86
Bills still to pay: £1123.60
Petrol still needed: £60 / £60 in fuel account
"Left over": £72.26
I spent a few little bits over the last couple of days. Sort of a NSD yesterday til I got home, DD was going on about "Horrid Henry" so I went on Amazon and bought her a DVD box set for £4. Also spotted an old CD I lost, so I re bought it for £2.25, these included postage so not too bad. Also checked my credit score number with experian, £5.95 nice watching it climb though.
Went to return DD's broken sandals to Mr T's this morning but customer service don't open til 8am. So ended up having to buy some new ones and will return broken ones later!
OH gets paid tomorrow, so that will be good can pay the rent and nursery, and see what extra he spares me for me! It's funny when I think I don't need or want anything but something still comes up to spend my money on! LOLNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
Took broken shoes back to Mr T's explained the situation, they took the shoes back and refunded me the £6 I spent on them! So in effect I got £1.50 back for them breaking cos I bought the ones today in the 25% off for £4.50! Cool!Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0
