I was updating my snowball the other day, hadn't been on it since October last year. I've paid off nearly 3.5k up to now! I was playing around with the monthly payments and if i pay £750 per month, I will be debt-free in just over a year. I don't think I can pay that much each month, but some months I can pay more towards them and I have some shares I can cash in at the end of the year along with some other stuff so hopefully I can have December 2011 as my debt-free-date and work on bringing it forward! Looking at the difference putting more money into debts makes, it has (for now) inspired me to once again stop spending money, stop booking trips and stick to my monthly budget plan. At the moment, all I have booked up is Glasgow next week and my friends wedding in November. After that, I'm going to try really hard to resist going anywhere for a while.... I've already thought about Cyprus again in March for skiiing, a trip in the summer for a holiday and Ibiza in September with a close friend. And that's me trying not to plan anything! I need to be stronger with one of my friends, and just say no when she wants to go out for lunch, go the cinema etc etc. As I just read on someone else's post, in a few years time I won't remember that lunch or probably even that film!
I have an exam in less than 4 weeks and currently I'm really trying to revise but I don't actually know how to and I'm so negative about exams, I think I'm blocking myself from believing I can do it! I hate exams so much, I've changed the next few courses I'm doing to ones that won't have them as I just can't cope!
The flat is brilliant, now I just have to get my friends round a bit more often. I'm a bit jealous that two of them are going to visit a friend in Oz in January but I've said we will all have to have more nights in, dvd nights etc to try and stop spending money... then in a years time, I can start planning my Oz trip!0 -
Think of the devil and she posts

Just put your head down and think of the things you will be able to once you are debt free and once you will have finished your course
I am glad you loving the flat

You are always being thought about
TBH, you are asking the wrong person about revision techniques... one thing that does work for me (I know it doesn't always work for everyone and it's a bit expensive but really works for me) is working at a coffee house - all you need is a bit of discipline not to gather your stuff and go have a walk around and you just need a decent pair of headphones to block out the noise... that way you will not have TV or internet, unless you working at starbucks or pret who offer free wifi, to distract you!!£365 in 365 days challenge: £730 / £1500 -

Yeah I guess I'll have to get myself to the library, too many distractions elsewhere. I just don't know how to revise!0 -
How come I didn't know you had a diary?????? Have now subscribed so there will be no escape from me

Glad you are enjoying living in your flat and sad that you get yourself worked up about exams (so do I by the way!).
You may want to check out Memory Girls thread, she has books on mind mapping that helps people to study. Be warned, there is lots going on in there at the mo but it is all very exciting and energising! But it may be worth you getting one of her books - the one for people studying and working at the same time. It may just help
I do a mean roast lamb, just let me know when you are free for a weekend
Give my love to Glasgow, so sorry I can't be there

Well with warning I can be here almost anytime
But I have more time for cooking nice things at the weekend! Bring an overnight bag & we can have dinner, a drinkie (or two) and watch a film (or two) If we stop nattering long enough that is :rotfl:
Which reminds me, there is an open bottle of wine in the kitchen, it is saturday night, so why am I sat here with a cup of tea
Off to rectify the situation quick :j

Enjoy the wine! I'm on earlies tomorrow after only working 4 days this month so far.
Unfortunately it won't be a weekend any time soon... I've just checked and my next weekend off after Glasgow is 23rd October! We will sort something out xx0 -
