OMG phone the RSPCA now! You can't leave the dog there suffering like that. What an effing b!tch she is, I'd punch her in the head if I saw her doing that. Well done for keeping your cool, but please please call and report this. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

You must definitely report this. Not only is the dog a risk to other animals and people (through no fault of his own - your neighbours are completely irresponsible and have ensured that he is acting uncontrollably), but he also a victim of cruelty.
Call the RSPCA immediately, please.0 -
Our neighbours took on a dog (he was almost 2 yrs old) that belonged to a bloke down the road. The poor animal was treated to daily kicks and pepper sprayed when he barked too much (by the previous owner not our neighbours) This led to him being wary of men in particular and one day bit the postman- they had the poor dog put down.
It's not the dogs fault he's been brought up this way and subjected to abuse- please report it so the same fate doesn't happen to this poor puppy aswelEvery time life knocks me down, I just stay on the ground for a bit and look up at the sky for a while. Eventually I get up and have a cup of tea.0 -
Update.
I haven't called the RSPCA but I have been speaking to the local bobbies. Apparently they're keeping a close eye on things and as soon as they see somrthing wrong they will take steps immediately.
I've since discovered that most of the street have "problems" with my next door neighbour and she's on the verge of being thrown out. Fingers crossed, eh?Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0 -

Another update. The dog has repeatedly escaped from the yard and has attacked various dogs from the neighbourhood. The dog warden came to fetch him yesterday as they had almost a dozen complaints.
Let's hope the dog gets a better home!Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0 -
Can we get some more news and photos of the cat now please!!0

LOL @ Paddy.
Can't post anymore pictures because my phone's broke (I usually upload pics from my memory card) and OH plays with the camera, not me.
As for news about her though, I'll tell you anything.
She's adjusted well. She has her own little spot on the rug in front of the fire. She makes it very clear to pooch when he's in the way. She's started playing a bit more in the house now too. She jumps onto the dog's back and wraps her paws round his neck. It's hilarious to watch because pooch just stands there and lets her do whatever she wants. He's a very sweet little dog. She also knows when she's being told off and gives me a dirty look if she's misbehaving.
She doesn't have one mat on her so I'm very confident that the previous owners didn't give a monkeys. I don't need to brush her often but she's even adjusted to it and loves the zoom groom (thank you to the poster who recommended that. She bit and scratched me when I first used it, now she purrs and just lets me get on with it.)
She's made friends with my other next door neighbour's cat, she goes in and out of their house as she pleases when we're all outside. They have a cat and she is starting to be a little less scared of my pooch so on BBQ days we sit outside with the neighbours and all the animals and just have a lovely time.
The only thing I can complain about is the number of dead animals I keep finding on the back doorstep. My old cat wasn't a hunter but this little toerag can't leave anything alone. I put a collar with a bell on it but to no avail, she's too fast and has lost the collar too. It breaks my heart to see a baby mouse or a baby bird in pieces as soon as I open the door in a morning :-(Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)0
