My car (I wasn't using it at the time) got a ticket on the same car park. Like you I was worried at first but after some advice on here and lots of reading I returned the ticket to CMS with the words NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT'S WRITTEN ON scrawled across in red.

I addressed it to their "Appeals Dept" just for my own amusement, as both they and I know that it doesn't exist.

Indeed the appeals department doesn't exist!

I appealed mine before coming on here, and the response I got, made me believe my appeal wasn't even read!

I actually gave them my new address in the appeal, and the clowns only sent out a reminder to my old address!

Conclusive proof, (if we ever even needed it), that this is just some tinpot cowboy outfit! :D

This is one person't thoughts on PPC's "appeals departments" :-

The only other possibility is that they keep a monkey at their office, who has been trained to open letters and, although it cannot actually read them, to immediately press a designated character on a keyboard (perhaps marked with a banana symbol) which then produces a letter of reply.

Unlike the average PPC employee whose shoe size is larger than his IQ.

  • Having read all your helpful comments re CMS car parks, I thought I
would run my experience by you and see what you thought.
My daughter was working in Pizza Hut on Robin Park in Wigan and I had to drop my grandson off to her as I had an appointment. I drove into the car park and there was no space available apart from the
disabled parking in front of Pizza Hut. As I was only going to be a
couple of minutes I left the car there and ran inside with him. I had
just handed him to my daughter and a lady came and said that a man was taking photo's of my car. I ran outside and explained that I was not parking but just dropping my grandson off. The man just kept repeating to me 'do you have a disabled badge?'. I said no and repeated that I was not parking. He would not waver the ticked and since then I have had correspondence from the company requesting I pay the fine. Any comments please......?

Simple!. It's not a fine and you don't have to pay a penny. How's that?

And the blue disabled badge scheme doesn't cover private car parks anyway, so badge holders don't have to display them.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)
