I orginally got knocked back for this 'because of the business I already have with MBNA'
This is mainly due to them keep offering me cards and they keep taking over companies credit. Think I have about 14k available credit with them now!!!
Anyway due to the promise of an MP3 player I decided to kick off a little.
I emailed Virgin money and asked if they simply lent they're name to another MBNA product.
They advised that MBNA only do the underwriting and they administer everything else.
Asking where they happy to lose my business cos of MBNA business dealings.. they got in touch with MBNA and things started to roll.
They 1st said I had too much business with MBNA but when I told them I had accounts but they werent being used I got a quick call from MBNA saying they could take money off one of my existing accounts to process my Virgin card.
The guy tried to talk me into giving up some of my credit limit 'cos they only should give u a maximum of 50% of your salary' but when I said no and that I would speak to Virgin again he sorted it all out! YIPPEE!
Anyway, hopefully i'll get my player (prob say application was after Aug 26th cos of the delays!!) and THANKS TO 'MARTINS LOVE CHILD' FOR THIS0 -
Glad to be of service!!THANKS TO 'MARTINS LOVE CHILD' FOR THIS

I am still waiting to see if I have been accepted for a Virgin card.. Whats worrying after reading the above post is that I already have an MBNA platinum plus card (that I only use for business expenses) with a £13300 credit limit, its empty at the moment. Will be interesting to see if they turn me down for the the same reasons as mentioned in the previous post.0

Well...just spoke with the people at virgin. Very helpful, they said that they noticed that I wasn't using my full limit on my MBNA card so rather than take out 'fresh' credit could they take off credit from my existing card. I said no problem as I will never use the full 13k limit, so now I have my virgin card with 7k limit 0% for 9 months and £6300 limit with MBNA...happy bunny ;D Forgot to ask about the MP3 player..but to be honest I already got one so would only be being greedy..more the 0% deal I was after anyway.....that way theres one more for you guys to have...

The T&Cs say there is a 2% service charge for BTs - MBNA say the same thing on their website now, though I've never been charged it.
Has anyone done a BT and not been charged the fee?0 -
They never said that on the phone to me.........so if they do charge me can I tell them I refuse to pay as I wasn't notified ?0

OK this sounds good!
Just trying to decide whether to go for the CD player offer or the MP3 player offer...anyone fancy telling me briefly what an mp3 player is and how I get stuff to play on it as it doesn't look big enough to play a CD on...
Do I have to downlaod from the net? As I've just changed my Broadband package to a cheaper one (£17.99 instead of £24.99) because I never do any downloading....
Thanks

Got my virgin card a couple of weeks ago and used it straight away to make a small purchase(which has been duly paid off) to make sure that I qualify for the mp3 player(has anyone recieved theirs yet) and have just gone ahead with a £6500 BT to my current account by phone. I made sure to ask if there was a fee involved and was told no so I went ahead with the transfer.
I was also told that my 0% intro period ends on 1st July which is greater than 9 months. Does this sound right to anyone else using Virgin cards?0 -
Yup..!
Was given an extra month also on the virgin card for some reason...
Still no mp3 player....used the card once so far, and repaid it. Ho-hum....twiddling those thumbs waiting! ::)Beware Lego Men with Deep pockets...! :cool:0 -
is this offer still on for free applications??0
