Maybe they should make it part of PSHE lessons at school for teenagers as it is a really important part of looking after your body.
    That is a brilliant idea.

This thread also kicked me into action to go and get some new bras, I've just stopped breastfeeding (well through the day) and amazingly I'm back into the same size I was wearing pre-pregnancy.

Thanks to the person who recommended the shop in Keynsham - they were lovely.

Ok I am back in this thread again lol. Been wearing a variety of my bras this week and yep none of them fit. So going to look online tonight, hopefully order a selection and send back what doesn't fit (probably all of it lol). Going to try La Senza, any other places I could try? I'm not flat chested but then they aren't big either, I want to make them look as nice as I can.

I think I am wearing a 32B today, the band feels kind of ok but maybe could go even tighter? Doesn't feel right around the underwires - when I move, the bra shifts IYSWIM? Only thing I worry about having a bra slightly too tight and then having a little bulge under the band on my ribs...
Also another thing I can never work out how to do properly is the straps?? Unless I have my shoulders back rigid (I guess I normally slouch a bit) then the cups always seem to gape a bit no matter what bra I have on. I've tried making the straps really tight but the same thing happens....arghhhhhh lol why are bras so complicated??? Also I was wondering is it 'normal' to have one which seems slightly bigger than the other...?

Yes its very common...my left is bigger and with my mum its her right;) I would try a 30 back btw as thats the size I wear and if I have anything bigger they ride up and gape just as you describe.
Remember if you go down a back size try going up a cup size ...this is what I was told when fitted (but please someone correct me if I am wrong) . I spent years in a 34a thinking I had no boobs and am now quite proud that I fill a C cup:rotfl:

I've got about thirty or so Bras - but don't really thinkany fit 100%

They range from 38-40 F/FF/G cups but all ride up, dig in or i bounce too much.

Have never been fitted (too embarrassed as am i big girl).

Suppose i really should be fitted but nowhere does bras big enough and does fitting around here. (Debenhams/Marks/John Lewis all have one-or-two bras i can get into and thats it. )
I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler

Amyb, PM me and I'll help you find the right size. Measure from under your boobs and run around in a straight line around the back, not riding up, quite tight. Wear the bra you have with the smallest band size and biggest cup size and let me know how the fit is on the cup - I'll find the right size for you.

Hannah, a well fitting bra will pull you upright and give you good posture - whatever your size so this is why you are slouching.

If the bra shifts you are in the wrong size, if the wires dig in you are in the wrong size. The skin will not blulge unless you are wearing one 2 sizes too small!! I would try a 30C.

If the cup is gaping it is the wrong style for you, look for a 'balcony bra' as this lifts and fills and will not gape. PM me if you want some help finding the right type.

Also yes, entirely normal - fit the bigger of the 2 as a smaller cup does not look as bad as the 4 boobed look. Again, a balcony bra can help with this.

Also to add, when you try a bra on stand up straight and pull your shoulders up, this is how you should stand if you have good posture and this is how you can tell if a bra fits correctly.

Once someone is in the right size, it sounds bizarre, but they automatically pull their shoulders up, kind of hard to explain.

My friend asked me if I wanted to have a stall at their pamper evening and show some styles but I am going to go there and offer bra fittings for ladies. I am on a mission now!! Would you be fitted if you was at a pamper evening?? I'd be interested in your thoughts on that.

Yes I would BM- I wish you lived near me. I'm getting really depressed trying to sort out bras that fit, are sexy and don't show through or look inappropriate at work. To make things worse I'm trying to match with cotton briefs and also struggle to get a style I like that would match!
    I'm thinking of a trip to R and P!

In answer to the original question I have way too many but don't think any of them fit right or look good!!

"I usually have to spend around £35 per bra (38F - 40EE depending on manufacturer/style). And I loathe and detest underwired bras (sooo uncomfortable) yet struggle to find anything in my size that is "soft-cup" - any recommendations?"

    I like these:

EXQUSITE FORM/VANITY FAIR 535 COTTON BRA
