how many bra's?

I had my fitting today and I am not a 36B as I had thought, but a 32F!! Now because I've worn a loose band it is taking getting used to on a tighter band. I can get 2 fingers behind the band at the back so pretty sure it isn't too tight if you know what I mean. The straps felt tighter and I have adjusted them to loose fitting and they seem tight still. (I can get a finger under the straps so they are supposed to be that way I hope!
Also I tried on quite a few bras and one I got is the Panache Tango II which was the best fit. When I tried on the others at 32F I didn't seem to fill the cups the same at the top of the bra as it seemed to have a gap between my boobie and the bra yet the bra did sit against my chest. The girl that fitted me said my boobs were spaced apart and the gap on the bra was normal? (The upper part of bra that sits horizontal across the chest.)
Just to add that like another poster on this thread I've always worn padded/gel bras so wearing a bra without feels strange!
I did go to a couple of other bra shops but the 32F in M & S didn't fit the same with puckering in the cup. I know Bravissimo were really busy and the girl didn't have a lot of time with me so I don't know which styles would be better for me.0 -

Excellent news. How smug did you feel coming out and how much better did you feel in yourself being fitted?
The style that is better for you is a balcony, or balconette bra as the Tango II is. The space at the top of the cup is entirely normal too, some people who have lost the elasticty at the top of the breast (usually through wearing the incorect size or having children!) will find they have this so please do not worry about filling it, I have a space there too, as long as the boob is coming to the edge of the cup and is not overspilling or the entire cup is too baggy then it is just right for you.
It will take a good week to get used to your new size so do not worry about poking around for a while, it's like breaking in new shoes. it is a shame that the lady could not give you more time but order a lot in mail order that you can return but that you can try on and get a feel for how they fit you.0 -
I have to say I think my face said it all as I was in shock! A nice shock, and there was me thinking I'd get laughed at if I didn't make a D cup! Yes the girl who did the fitting said it was normal to have a gap and said the same thing so long as the boob is coming to the edge of the cup ( the bit under your arm?) which it did!
I feel as if someone has given me some new boobs, lol. Do I just experiment now as I tried 32F in one style of bra and it was puckering quite a bit, so would I just have gone down a cup size to see what the fit is like? I wished I had more time today to try more different ones on. My OH was with me and I felt sorry for him hanging around the changing rooms, lol.0 -

LOL, I love seeing peoples faces when they realise they are much bigger than they thought
You will however find that your boobs will knock into things until you get used to the size of them and because they are always 'there'. :rotfl: daisy will tell you this.
Yes, get as many bras as you can in 32F and try them on, if you like the look of it but it is too big or too small then get a size bigger or smaller, experiement and you will find the style that you like and eventually you will find styles that suit you best - it'll be a learning curve and it'll take a few months but now you have been shown how a good fitting bra should look and fit you will know what to look for when you put one on.
I used to always wear Panache Tango II but lately I have found Freya give me a nice look. Sometimes it is better to get them mail order because it gies you more time to try them on at home where you are more comfortable and you can wear them for a little longer.
Give the Fantasie Anna a try as well, a good basic bra with good lift, balcony cup and it is double layer so it can be used as a t-shirt bra as there is no 'show through' when it is cold.0 -
It feels so weird lol as the last time the woman in M & S said to me "You are still the same cup size, just the band size has changed." I felt a little disappointed but today I really did feel happy! I've always bought my bras online with Debenhams and Figleaves but they always want paying up front and if the bras don't fit I have to wait for a refund. I guess the best way to go is catalogue and open a credit account lol.
Do you know the one thing that struck me? I was looking in Primark (I know! I can't resist a bargain though) and I had trouble finding a 32F. It was always so easy to buy 36B and I really appreciate what some women go through trying to get the right size. It felt as if I was shopping for someone else!0 -

Friends always say, there's no way you can be a 32 back. Well I haven't shoehorned myself into it, it's comfy and the support is great. Freya bras are so pretty but don't fit me, but Panache is fantastic. I do wish I could wear a backless/strapless/halterneck top though, so hard to find clothes for a night on the town!
Yes, I agree. Peopel say the same to me and are surprised I am a 32.
If you are *desperate* then go for the Panache Evie in 34H and get some 'tit tape' (as it is called) and stick yourself into it so you do not fall out. I am a 32GG and wore a 34G and because the dress was much higher than the top of the bra and I was fine it, slightly uncomfortable but who cares about comfort for a few hours in a pretty dress, LOL. Needs must!!0 -
I agree blue monkey. I am a size 16 and I am a 34 back.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0

Yes, absolutely, I do know what you mean. Until you know what you are looking for a mail order account would be better in all fairness as you can just order loads and then send them back after trying them.
Try the Freya plunge bras though, you might be surprised at the fit, they are just a lower cut balcony bra.0 -

I also think that bra fitters at places like M&S see a larger sized lady and will just assume they are a 40+ and just pick something up, try it and if it LOOKS like it fits just put them into that bra. I really do not get M&S at all, I really do not and I do not understand why anyone trusts them to fit them into a bra properly.0 -
