No i took them a loo before shopping and not once did mine wee themselves. You as a parent have to ensure they go to the loo, it's your reponsibilty, not the shops.

I forgot to say also that if you know your child cannot hold their wee, then every half an hour, you take them to the public loo, there is no excuse.

Oh my god - a sensible post!!!

Some people CAN take responsibility for their kids, instead of blaming everyone and everything else!!!

Maybe the OP should try it on for size - and all the other moany parents who fawn at their kids over every whim and believe that they're beyond reproach....

You have to do what is best as a parent to ensure that your little one does not have accidents. It doesn't take much to put a pull up on the child just for when you go shopping. It's not fair to have a go at the staff in River island when it is your responsibilty to get him to a loo, not theirs.

If he wee's on a bus, is it the bus drivers fault? No.

I understand kids can have accidents, but you have to be prepared and if that means putting your child into pull ups just for your journey to the shops to ensure there are no acidents then there is no harm in that.
What about what if there are no public loos....you will find one.....yeah when its too late !!!

kimberley............I find these trainer pants defeat the object, I have found that if I put these on lilttle one he does tend to wet them ( they are very close to a nappy!) so have found it better without them.

Also if you had read the previous posts then you would have found that my son had gone to the toilet shortly b4 the 'event' and 1 shop I went to .....Like so many have said these situations are unpredictable!

If your potty training your son, then you can buy them pull up pants, that way if he wee's then it won't be a problem. The pants are designed for little accidents like that. Also with them pull ups you can still take them to the loo as and when required. You don't need to take his potty. They soon learn.
I've tried this but as they feel like a nappy to him he refuses to *go* in them :D I don't find taking the potty along much of a problem though, just dreading the day he needs more than a wee :o

Then if he doesn't go in them, thats great isn't it? My point is that you cannot get the hump with shop staff who refuse you the use of their toilets because it is down to you to ensure your child has gone prior to using the shops.

The truth hurts eh?. I hope you rue the day when your beloved little angel turns into a total brat. It's parents like you who are to blame for the "chavs" and the general scum that pollute the neighbourhoods.

All because mummy ran after baby too much, and let them away with murder. Think about it. (like you will)

I too work in a shop, of sorts, its a trade counter. We have our staff toilets and nonoe else is permitted to use them. Our Insurance does not cover anyone other than staff to be behind the counter area/ in the office/warehouse. We have dangerous electrical machinery that is completly disconnected when not in use but still dangerous!
