Or did you go to the same charm school?

What an impressively adult response. Sometimes it's difficult to differentiate between the children and the childish on this thread. Me, me, me seems to be the favourite shout of those interested only in their own well-being, compromise and consideration for others are words obviously only understood by the adults.

looking at the posts of most parents/articulate adults on this thread, and comparing yours I feel it`s you who has the me,me,me attitude, why is it that some adults never realise they were children once...

I sincerely hope that the moaners always have their health and strength that they never need to use walking aids, wheelchairs etc in that they may be considered by some to be an inconvenience and hazard to others.

I still find it astonishing that adults can put their own needs, comfort and safety before that of the more vulnerable and defenceless in this world, whether they are children, elderly or disabled, and then call other people selfish. I am thankful that I am so lucky to live in a tolerant, close-knit community where we all look out for everybody else, regardless of whose children/relative it is.

As the old saying goes, 'walk a mile in my shoes and then judge me'.

I you read through this post, I think you will find that the OP was playing the drama queen in publicly shreiking that a shop had refused to let her child use the toilet. She obviously had expectations that she and her child should be allowed to do whatever they liked, regardless of other's rights. She made such a big fuss (and posting on this forum is making a big fuss) over a member of staff being unwilling to break her employer's rules.

Another poster was bleating about her and her children having been refused entrance to a restaurant, whereas the truth was that it was only the buggy that had been refused entrance.

Both mothers obviously have rather large chips on their shoulders, the first because a staff member stuck to the rules, and the second because she apparently misunderstood what was being said to her. Both of them were unwilling to consider why their wishes were thwarted. In my view the employees were not unreasonable, in the view of the mummy brigade the action of the staff was completely selfish because mummy was prevented from getting her own way.

VeryTrying - please stop posting your rude, pathetic nonsense here. Its so annoying when threads are hijacked by trolls like you.

You obviously just want a fight, you have nothing constructive or informative to say.

The thread is a about Shop's unhelpful attitude to customers (who just happen to be parents). Its ridiculous that you have taken it over with your nasty anti-family, anti-children comments.

People like you are just a waste of air.

If you had bothered to read through this thread you will see that over a week ago I posted how I managed under similar circumstances to the OP. But the difference between us was that I managed by myself and didn't expect others to put their jobs at risk for my sake. This post wasn't constructive or informative enough for you?

Obviously the only posts you want to see are those that unreservedly agree with you. It's easy to claim that posts are anti-family and anti-children when actually they are just anti-selfish-mummy. But there are some people who are just so blinkered and so convinced that the world owes them and their children, that they will never take the time to understand other viewpoints. The unfortunate thing about this attitude is that their children absorb such behaviour and grow up equally self-centred. A little more tolerance and less selfishness on the part of these mummies would no doubt mean that they got a lot more help, and less grudgingly too!

I think you'll find VeryTrying is applying something which a lot of you could do with - COMMON SENSE.

I'm sure you'll ignore that fact and continue with you insults. Perhaps that's why you're so upset - you're still (mentally) a child yourself.

I still stand by my OP and look at my screen and laugh at some of these comments!

Has anyone actually seen VeryTrying and grey9101 in the same room? It must be one person, surely there aren't two people here with such medieval views?

:rotfl: Sorry, I just can't take these trolls seriously anymore.

someone get a needle and thread, my sides have split.

perhaps it's beyond the powers of your feeble mind to comprehend that more than one person DARES to have a different opinion to you.... but get used to it.

oh, and try and spell my name right, eh? it's not hard. even for a three year old like yourself.

try not to make any puddles either!
