JWM, do you have anything to contribute to the discussion of unfairly criticising shop staff, or will you continue to limit your remarks to comments about other posters?
As somebody else has already posted about you on another thread '... and now we have someone that uses the first half of the posting to criticise what other people say and then starts the name calling in the second half ... not a very good example (you need to follow your own advice i.e. '...there is no need to insult the OP or anyone else ...')'.
It seems you have brought the same attitude to this thread. Unfortunate that your reputation has followed you around.0 -

I still find it astonishing that adults can put their own needs, comfort and safety before that of the more vulnerable and defenceless in this world, whether they are children, elderly or disabled, and then call other people selfish. I am thankful that I am so lucky to live in a tolerant, close-knit community where we all look out for everybody else, regardless of whose children/relative it is.
As the old saying goes, 'walk a mile in my shoes and then judge me'.
I am disabled and I have a 4 year old daughter so I guess with both disability and young child I must REALLY !!!!!! the likes of grex9101 and VeryTrying :rotfl:
I don't understand why sweeping judgements are being made as they only apply to a small minority. We ALL know there are parents who let their kids do what they like but happily these are a small group. You can't tell me that every single time you go out you are bothered by children? It just doesn't happen. Yes on occasion you will go somewhere and children will be behaving dreadfully but thankfully its not often & you can be pleased yours are better behaved!;)Ebay~ A wretched hive of scum and villainy.0 -
Nah sorry, not interested enough in you to care what your name is.
End of 'discussion' for me I'm afraid, if its just the trolls left to 'debate' with, then its a waste of time.
Good luck tigertiger with the potty training, sorry you had such a nasty experience - both at River Island and with a few idiots here.
Just remember that the majority of posters are on your side.0 -

But interested enough to spout utter cr*p for a number of posts, eh?
Still, glad to see the back of you. Can't be doing with huffy children like you stamping their feet when they don't get their own way. Boo-hoo!
Now, away and dry your eyes. The word is BOUGHT, not BROUGHT.

JWM.....your post made me laugh ha ha!thanks
This thread has become too personal, thanks to a few idiots!.....not what the OP intended. So l won't be posting anymore on this topic, and in fact may ask a moderater close it. It does read on the top of this website 'PLEASE BE NICE TO ALL MONEYSAVERS'. Agreed that we all have different views on many different subjects, tactfully we can get these across without becoming vicious eh!
By the way JWM....potty training going really well, think myself and DS have managed that one! Thanks x tt£900 towards next holiday...ta very much Mr T x0 -

I really had no intention of posting here again, due to the tone some of the posts are taking.
I feel I want to make one thing clear though. I was not bleating about being refused entry to a restaurant. The fact is I was actually seated and ready to order when the waitress came over saying - in a loud voice - "you can't come in here with that". All heads turned and I felt very embarrassed having to get up and leave. When the newspaper ran the story on behalf of the disabled lady, who had been spoken to in the same manner, they had contacted the company's head office where senior management confirmed that the restaurant was spacious, and there was no problem with fire regulations. The staff had decided to make up their own rules and were reprimanded. This was the point I was trying to make but did not make it clear.0 -
This was how long ago? Twelve or thirteen years? And you still feel the need to complain about it?
Things have changed a lot since the early nineties - sometimes for the better, sometimes not. Things are certainly better (but nowhere near good enough) for wheelchair access, but try as mummies might, they can't be given equal status with more serious and certainly more permanent needs. Many mummies need a sense of proportion and to stop trying to equate their position with disabled people. It's just another manifestation of their selfishness - using other people in an attempt to gain yet more special treatment.0
