Ohh they knew. I've even reminded them :(

Can you suggest to the most responsive of them that maybe they do something special for you for a day - take you out, go somewhere for a day. You seem to do so much for them and it's pretty bloody lame of them to be making a card after the event.

hugs to those missing their Mums, my best mate just recently went through that. She must be in hell today - cos she has kids too so will "celebrate" if you see what I mean. plus the world's most tactless mother in law... ugh.

Thanks Buffy. I have a runner up in the world's most tactless father. Think its a family trait, his twin brother does give him a run for his money (I answered the door to him a couple of years ago and he said 'You've kept the weight off......that's good........for you I mean'. My reply, 'I'll take that as a compliment then.....from you Derek')

Remember its good to laugh (through the pain if necessary)

Well back from town. Done two more Starbucks taste tests, they weren't as horrible as yesterday thankfully! Both of them said the one I liked best was the instant, so either they're both lying, or me and sister just assumed wrongly yesterday that it was - they didn't actually tell us which was which, or say anything about it at all, just gave us the coffees. Just two more local branches left to cover tomorrow!

In the second one the guy was quite sweet and earnest, I felt bad about deceiving him with my pretend ignorance of it all, by now I think I know as much as the barista's do about it!

And I wanted to jump him. *sigh*. I'm getting worse by the day!

This is not what Starbucks mean by a "taste test"... ;)

Katsu, I'm not sure, it says in participating stores only, but I don't see why it wouldn't be there. It's only on till tomorrow though, you test the two coffees and then get a voucher for a free tall drink of your choice valid until sometime in April.

Thing that irritates me is when they can dish it out, but can't take it in turn. I was once asked "When's it due?" to which I replied "About 3 months after yours." - it went pretty quiet at that point...

Gonna attempt some more jewellery this afternoon.... being 'mothered' and looked after by DD2 and DS. I have done the washing and hung it out however....didn't want to push my luck!
