Oh Spud, I am so sorry to hear that. I thought about you this morning as I too don't have my Mum with me and know that today is hard enough.

    Sending you hugs

  I really feel for you - how thoughtless!! Hope they have something lovely planned for later? If not, do something lovely for yourself - and remind yourself you are a great Mum and they are lucky to have you :A

Oh Spud, that's awful. Do you think they thought it would be better if they just didn't acknowledge it in case it made it worse for you?

Thinking of you all without mothers.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    ......Whoooosh

    And pause.

Have washed, dressed etc, hoovered, hung load of washing on airer, next load in, emptied and loaded dishwasher, had a quick tidy, made N's lunch had a swish and swipe in the bathroom...

Friend texted she's running late. Expecting her any time soon really...

My prorities are wrong though - I'm going out, meaning no one will be in the flat and yet I have spent more time on its appearance than on my own.....

That is a gorgeous Sari SRM - thank you so much for the offer and I wish I would look as good as you do in it, but couldn't possibly have any flesh on display

We have hatched a cunning plan to decline the invite - basically a downright lie, but tis the only way I am afraid.

when mum was alive we used to share a bunch of flowers and a box of chocs on mothers day, (we used to joke that it was the only way we were sure of getting any) so I still do that and share with my daughter, it makes us feel that mum/grandma is still part of the day, love to you all.
  • Had a lie in ...well it is mother's day!! off to sort out my bedroom and declutter, may even find some stuff for ebay! MY DD is taking me out for a late lunch bless her when she finishes work. Should be a good day!
