Ozone, the best advice anyone can give you is to do your home work.

We have been to Florida many times, and always gone with either Eclipse or Portland. Last year we decided that we would book everything ourselves to do it as cheap as possible. We searched and searched, and the trouble is flights... unless you want to risk waiting until the last minute to book them, then to book in advance took away all the advange of booking a cheap villa. In the end we gave up and went with Eclipse which turned out to be cheaper than anything we could find.

If you would like a recommendation - if this is your one and only trip to Florida, try looking at the Disney Hotels, yes I know they are a bit more - but this is a one in a lifetime experience and I will say one thng for the Yanks, they know how to give you a good time. We stayed in the Port Orleans Hotel, and with the free courtesy buses, you can't beat it.

If that is too much then look at Eclipse and Portand and price up in a Villa (They are all 5 star) all in, Flights, Villa, Car Including taxes upfront. Then try to find it seperately on the internet. Yes you can get a villa quite cheaply, but it's the flights.

Best of Luck anyway, I bet you will have a fantastic time.

    Hi Ozone
have a look on Expedia we booked a short time ago to travel end of Aug and got a really good deal in a really good resort, we couldn't get a direct flight without pushing the price way up ,trying to do it seperate this late on proved to be more expensive.
They had good prices for 2 adults and 2 Children ( ours are 11 and 15 ) in some nice resorts including the Universal hotels and the Swan and Dolphin, we are going to Villas of Grand Cypress, you might be able to get a two bed villa there for a reasonable price too, Expedia has a good bit where you can see photos and get virtual tours of the places so you get a better idea of what's what !!
The only thing I would say is if you find something on Expedia book online and not over the phone ( make sure your credit card company knows you are about to make a big online purchase so that they allow it to go through ) and also check out reviews on Tripadvisor of any places you like the look of before you book ! Enjoy your Holiday you will have just the best time !!

If you are doing the parks Walkie Talkies are good to keep in touch with one another. You can buy them in Walmart over there or Argos have some in their clearance sale. Cheaper than using mobiles to keep in touch.

Went to book the tickets for Discovery Cove today as daughter back at school and I didn't have her hanging about. Disaster, as all the UK websites had no tickets left for July

Two sites could maybe do it for £20 a ticket more but I decided to look for US sites and in the end just booked direct through Discovery Cove where they have space for all dates. Works out to be dearer than the £139 as quoted on UK ticket sites but less than the £155 and at least I have the day we want.

LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) = waives your responsibility for loss or damage to the vehicle

SLI (Supplemental Liability Insurance ) = coverage against third party claims for bodily injury, including death, and property damage

UMP (Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage) = speaks for itself

Tax CFC (Customer Facilitation Charge) = A fee imposed by the Airport for parking vehicles on-site.

HSF (Homeland Security Fee) = As a result of Sept. 11

Don't know what +all is though. Seems like they will be well covered. Just need petrol...

We love Discovery Cove! It is a bit on the pricey side but such a good day, I'm sure you'll really enjoy it (can you tell I'm envious?!). Have fun!

Try giving them a call direct and see if they have any deals on for the dates you're looking for. Another idea is try expedia.com, they had good deals on there for last Sept/Oct that weren't showing up on expedia.co.uk.

I'm going to merge this with the other Orlando thread, you should get more replies there.
