avoid spring break...our mistake on our first trip. second week we were there was fab though. (easter holidays)
been in october, parks were fairly quiet and not too many queues.x x x0 -
Am I on the right thread for Florida tips etc. as it seems to be Disney, Disney, Disney ?
I'm going to Florida on Saturday and I'm staying at Clearwater & Cape Coral & I'm avoiding Uncle Walts places like the plague.
Florida is a huge State and has sooooooo much to offer a UK visitor - but millions of people miss out out on Florida / America every year because they spend so much time filling Mickeys pockets.
Just my opinion though.

Had a week in mid May this year and really enjoyed visiting at that time. Easter is very busy so best avoided also prices are dearer.
Temps were in the late 80s although it was slightly cooler in the evenings whereas our last visit in July there was no dip in the temp at night.
Parks were busy enough but no where near as busy as early July when of course you have the 4th July holidays, great fireworks then but very busy0 -
OK Murphy_The_Cat you don't actually appear to have put in a query. What is is that you want to know, or where you just having a dig at those people whose choice it is to go to Disney World because they and their children rather like it?0

Have been in March which was ok July HORRENDOUS! and late August early September is great, when it quietens down so much we hardly had any queues to get on the rides!
Have booked again for Aug/Sept next year,
Always buy our tickets before we go, though we have bought the odd one there with no problem at all, if it seems like a timeshare deal walk away. Most hotels sell tickets and they seem to be the same price as here.0 -

How about the thread title is changed to something like
"All things about Disney in Florida" ?
Then all of the people that want to find out about Disney stuff know exactly where to look.
& then anyone else who is going to Florida and is looking for some helpful advice and tips doesn't have to plough through over 1300 posts - most of which are a questions / posts that have been made again and again and again - about the same things.
Most of my Florida holiday queries have been thankfully answered by now (quite several on MSE), but I do have one quert that you may be able to help me with.
I've got a 90 minute slot at Boston to clear Immigration, Customs, collect my bags, check them again, cross the airport to another terminal and get my flight to Miami - should I be getting nervous ?

Hiya just wondered if anyone has ever used the holiday-rentals.co.uk site for booking accommodation...and wondered if anyone has any information on transfers from sanford airport to kissimmee or disney?0
-
scottishf, have a look on https://www.disboards.com for information about transfers from Sandford to your resort/villa. There are lots of companies that do private hire car which works out quicker and they will do a half hour grocery stop complete with map of the supermarket which helps you do a quick shop for necessities0

On your other point Boston Airport is horrible (or at least it was lasttime i was there 10 years ago). Not to worry you or anything, but it took us longer than that as I recall to get through and there wasn't any hightened terrorist alerts at the time. As a matter of interest, are you flying from Glasgow? Or on NorthWest? Or both? Or neither?

I'm flying fom Manchester with AA, for an AA connection, so at least I don't need to re-check in. Just collect my bags and transit security again.
I usually use Chicago, which can be either very quick, or very slow.
Fingers crossed that it all works out - although I do have a printout of all the alternative routes that AA could get me to Tampa with on that day (with the number of free seats on them) if it all goes a bit Pete Tong.
