If you go for it, I hope you enjoy it! I found it a nice, quiet hotel despite being busy and plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. Plenty of choice at breakfast just don't go for the hard boiled eggs!
There is an ethernet internet connection in every room with which was easy to use with my laptop and wi-fi also available in reception as I spoke to a guy who was using it with his Apple laptop.
Reception staff very helpful, one went and got her umbrella out of the car for me when I asked if they had one so I could get to the nearest shop on the one day when it was pretty wet all afternoon0 -
I am off to Orlando for a fornight next week and don't know whether I ought to buy my Disney tickets BEFORE I get there or once I am there. I understand that there are a few websites in the UK offering the 14 day ultimate Disney pass for £153 including taxes and credit card fees, but would I get it even cheaper out there in Orlando? I only need 2 tickets so I can't expect a group discount either!
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.0 -
dan8, do you want to getthe full 14 day pass? Or do you intend doing things other than Disney?0

Hi,
I am no expert but we went a few weeks ago (2 adults) and found getting tickets there was very confusing. Loads of ticket shops offering cheap deals but u had to go on a timeshare type tour with most of them. I felt we wasted a lot of time trying to work out what tickets were good value as there were so many combination of tickets. I now realise that the tickets u get here are very good value (unless someone else on this site knows differently as i said i am no expert)
From my experience i would definately buy the tickets here and definately would have hopper tickets ie the ultimate.
We paid more for tickets for 5 days of parks than my sister who bought in uk and had the ultimate tickets for 2 weeks and she could go into clubs for free with hers and free parking which we could not do.
We looked at all the leaflets from the hotels and kiosks for prices and unless we did something wrong we felt very dear to do it that way. I wish i'd realised before we went but booked last minute deal and no time to plan.

I agree with Likeadeal, go for the 14 day Ultimate and buy it here as it is a better deal. You can in fact buy an online ticket which I did on our last trip as it was last minute and you are given a proper ticket when they scan your printed ticket at customer services at one of the main Disney parks.
This ticket gives you the freedom to move from park to park or perhaps only visit a park in the evening for the fireworks. We did this occasionally on our first visit as we were staying onsite and would jump on a bus to Magic Kingdom for an hour in the evening having spent the day in another park or one of the water parks.
Have a lovely time whatever you decide to do0 -
THese tickets are great if you intend spending your whole holiday in Disney. I have been to the Disney US site and I can get 4 day passes (single site) plus 4 nights in an all star resort for 2 adults and 1 child for about £480 (depending on currency exchange rate), which is about the same as just buying the 14 day hopper passes for us.0

I also wanted to go to the Kennedy Space Centre and to Gatorland, perhaps. Any other suggestions?
We've been on the swim with dolphins in Miami, in the Florida Keys and in June in Australia and, frankly, it wasn't that great, so we were going to avoid Discovery Cove too.
I'd be very grateful for any other ideas for places to visit around Orlando or further afield as we have car hire for the fortnight.0 -
We are looking to holiday in Orlando/Miami... we are also hoping to avoid the huge crowds. Does anyone know when the US have their school holidays and when is a good time to visit? We are thinking somewhere between (and including) easter and early summer (up until early july).
Thanks

except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.0
