Stayed here for a week in May and enjoyed it...

Thanks Edinburghlass. Followed the link and it looks really nice but at $119 a night it is more than I was looking at spending.

    Anyone else any ideas?

If you were referring to my post, then your tickets will be waiting for you when you check in. I think you just get an email confirmation of your booking. (I haven't booked yet as I'm waiting to see if they are going to carry on with their current special offers into January).;)

    Hi
When u say current special offers what are u referring to? Tickets or holiday deals.

I am looking to book for next sept with free disney dining plan but that finishes early Nov and i was hoping to use Tesco clubcard deals. I've been trawling all the chat sites to try to find any related discussion to Florida/clubcard deals but can't find any.
    Thanks

The US site is currently showing rooms at all star resorts for $55 a night but offer ends early December.

Would also recommend Country Inn & Suites LBV stayed there in June/July and loved it.

I have a feeling that the Tesco clubcard deals only work with Virgin? However Virgin are including the Free Dining Plan with their bookings for next year provided you book by a certain time which I think as you say means it has to be booked by November this year.

From what I've read the Free Dining is a good deal if staying onsite at Disney as its not cheap to eat there compared to eating off site :)

I paid about £35 a night in May, booked through teletext when I booked the flights :)

Check out the https://www.disboards.com for Orlando Hotels as there are often offers posted there.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to somewhere cheap to stay (without being grotty) in the Orlando area. We have a 3 year old who loves to swim so a pool is a must.

As posted above we will be staying at Disney for 3 or 4 nights so that leaves another 10 or 11 nights accommodation to find!

We stayed in Liki Tiki. It was an apartment (1 bed superior) in Kissimee booked through www.airline-network.co.uk.

That's more the sort of price I was looking for! I'll check out the link thanks!

I don't think they'll sell you flights in dollars if your first flight is from the UK. The weak dollar has increased the dollar price for flights, rather than reduce the sterling price unfortunately.

I have had success in the past booking cheap hotels in the US through https://www.hotels.com, both online and by phone. https://www.priceline.com might also be worth a look. Remember to tell the site you're American so they charge you in dollars rather than pounds.

For car hire, try keying in the name of the airport you're arriving at followed by car hire into google. There's probably a local company who would probably be cheaper than booking with the major chains.

I have used Kissimmee Guest Services many times, they charge in dollars and deliver on the morning of arrival or send out in the post. Excellent service on https://www.kgstickets.com

  • Please be aware though that the tickets linked to in the above post, although marketed as 14 day tickets only actually give you 10 days at Disney Parks only allowing you to visit one park per day and six visits over the 14 days to the water parks. At todays rate of exchange this works out at £125.

At http://www.orlando-ticket-deals.co.uk/index.html (plenty of other sites) a UK Disney Ultimate ticket gives you 14 days of visiting any number of the Disney parks in the same day including the water parks for £153 (2006 prices).

Being able to "park hop" is a big advantage especially if its very hot and you want to go for a swim in the afternoon either back at your resort or one of the water parks and then visit a different park in the evening. It also means that you can head to a different park later in the evening perhaps just to catch the fireworks.

You really need to do your homework, Google all the websites, write down the prices at each and make sure you are comparing apple with apple and then go back and work out the best deal for what you think you will need.

Because we have had hopper type tickets we have often visited 3/4 different parks in the one day, tiring admitedly :)
