Hello all,
Has anybody had a stay at the 'Saratoga Resort Villas' in Kissimmee? Looking to book for October 2007. Weve never stopped in Kissimmee before, usualy hotel on I-Drive but are looking to take our 2 nieces next time and thought a villa type place might be better. Any information or tips on the resort or area would be welcome
Thanks. If ya want to get into it, ya got to get out of it.0 -

I haven't checked prices but https://www.airline-network.co.uk usually work out cheapest for me for car hire. It's for Dollar and on site at the airports so if there's only a couple of ££'s in it I go for them. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

I have found https://www.carhire3000.com to be quite good at the moment - also https://www.holidayautos.co.uk are coming in good. Trouble is as they change their prices almost daily it can change in the blink of an eye and what seemed a good price whilst writing this may actually be a high price by the time you look at their sites!
I am trolling around trying to find cheap car hire, without the insurances, having spoken to https://www.insurance4carhire.com today. They advised me that their policy of £119 for a one year cover is fully comprehensive and no other insurance is required. Apparently their cover also includes wheels, tyres, windscreen and other damage that the CDW excess does not cover from the likes of other well known companies. Holiday Autos give the option to take the Excess Damage Waiver with them but again it does not cover wheels, tyres, windscreens etc just the excess should you have a hefty accident - the scary thing is, having read other's remarks, just how high that excess can be. Because of this their price is a good £100 cheaper than the other rental companies and if you travel more than once a year it may make better sense to get the insurance4carhire cover for the year. This article in The Times http://travel.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,18409-2141946_1,00.html about aiming to get the car hire companies to clean up their act was a real eye opener and I think everybody planning on renting a vehicle should read this. One chap on there was charged for damage and when he argued and pushed the point to the degree that the hire company checked previous records he discovered the damage had been previously charged, and paid for, by another customer. The company claimed the cars are checked when they arrived back but something like that makes you wonder. As he said how many times had they actually got away with charging people for the same damage.
Ho hum, it's a gamble I suppose.

Oh God, this is much more complicated than I was expecting it to be. I just wish they would all post their bottom line, fully covered prices!
Thanks for all your help anyway.0 -

Nope, you can't do that. The only thing like that is the leave a legacy project in Epcot. There are a lot fo standing walls when you walk into epcot, when you look at them there are a lot of small plaques on which even smaller portraits have been engraved. These are small, and they don't stand out.
You can order a Birthday cake at the resturants there and if you are at a resort you can order one for theroom.0 -
Make sure you get a birthday badge for him at any of the Disney Parks then the CM's will know its his birthday0

With the pound being so strong against the dollar at the moment you may find (as I did) that if you want to stay at a Disney hotel and want to buytickets as well you would be better off buying them direct in dollars from Disney US rather than follow the UK link and pay in pounds.
Hope this is of interest to someone, I know it's saved me a few quid.
Also, You can buy different tickets from the US rather than the 7 and 14 day passes that you have to get from Disney US. We intend staying on site for 4 days and getting the tickets in a package. Disney UK will only sell packages for a minimum of 7 days.0 -
Got back yesterday, and had a problem when collecting our car from Alamo, Orlando. I tried to give my credit card, and they refused saying they needed my husband's as he was the named driver.
Just a tip, but if you are hiring a car, make sure you take the drivers' credit card. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
