I only ever use BP now - seem to get more miles to the gallon (sorry, litre..)

Some seem to get batter mileage out of branded fuel, many see no difference, mind you the local BP here is 5p a litre dearer than Asda which is where it really hurts, that is 22.5p difference per gallon, so on a 15 gallon tank is over £3 less per tank at BP.

Set to get worse when Alistair, the badger clobbers fuel, for the sake of the environmental green tax scam  on March 24. Won't get better whatever political colour gets in.

edinburgh and this was a bp or shell garage i think sainsbury was 116 i think cant remeber
Your perceptions of more than double the price are way of the mark because you've took 20p off the cheapest you remember and added 10p to the current price. All this before considering inflation and/or looking for even cheaper fuel which would shave another 6p off.

So instead of your ex £10/week fill costing £20.98 (125.9/60), the reality is it actually costs £12.89 (110.9/86)

This can be to do with calibration of pumps as much as better mpg.

Isn't funny how we measure how much value for money our car is getting in MPG (miles per gallon), yet we buy fuel in litres?

All part of the EuroScam, by pricing in litres it appears less when they add a penny a litre, as it would be close on 5p a gallon increase, so when the badger adds 2p a litre it is nearly 2 shillings a gallon in old money....

Nobody forces anyone to measure their fuel in MPG, we are all free to measure in miles per litre.:)

Yes divide mpg by 4.5 so 30 mpg is 6.66 mies per litre approx.
Of course the EuroZone folks use litres per 100 kilometres as the defacto economy measurement.
