When I lived in America I was paying just short of $200 a month on medical insurance and there was still a $25 co pay to meet for each visit to the doctors. I know where i'd rather be now with all of my medical problems. I think I can manage a few pence extra on the car fuel tax, if we get to keep our NHS.

You know, I think you are right;) ;) :T
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

    That's my point.

Shell V Power is 97 Octane, whereas most other Super Unleaded is 98 Octane.

Why would someone think that they have t use just on specific brand of petrol?

Uk Vpower is 99 mate (100 in europe) , The old optimax was 97. General super unleaded is 97. This is probably the wrong type of place to be talking about superunleaded though but the way I see it life too short to worry about a few pence per litre extra but then im a total petrolhead so prepared to put up with it.

Its even more annoying when you see how much they pay in America for the same stuff!!!!!
Its not the same stuff - its usually E85 or 90RON stuff which isn't as high quality as our 'regular' 95RON stuff. Still doesn't warrant the price difference though.

The Shell I usually go to always has pretty big queues as its known to be the cheapest. It often is the cause of all the traffic jams going into Lancaster. Over the last week its gone up from 110.9 to 113.9, briefly via 111.9, and the queues have died right down.

As well as Health Care Insurance etc. costs.

    Swings and roundabouts.

Not sure they have many roundabouts over there. How much do they pay for swings?:rotfl:

Current situation where I am, Asda in Wishaw 111.9 for petrol & diesel. The Shell that is literally round the corner (less than 100 yards away) 113.9 for both. Jet station less than a half mile away, 111.9 and 113.9 petrol and diesel. Shell before Garrion Bridge, 116.9 for diesel. Esso in Stonehouse 114.9 for both, a 1p rise on 2 consecutive days. Shell in Larkhall, 113.9 for diesel. Still waiting to see anyone explain the differences in price at so many stores in such a relatively small area.
