    I have no idea what he drives but quite a few Japanese imports are set up for high octane petrol only (does not have to be V-power though)

    Jap Import Mitsubishi lancer Evo 6 with a fair bit of work done to it, Its also been remaped to run on 99 RON. So really shell V power or Tesco 99. Will stick with V power though.

    Why do people complain about petrol like they have no choice but to pay it?

    Maybe people should stop seeing cars as essential modes of transport.

    I would like to see us follow the Chinese way of thinking, scooters and motorbikes far outnumber the amount of cars over there.

    Its greener, cheaper and more fun.

    125.9 petrol :O

    What a rip off i rember the days when petrol was 60p lol

    i used to put £10 in my tank a week and that was at 86p ish but now its a joke adn i bet its gonna get higher aswell :mad:

    Up by 15p/litr in recent weeks and not a word from big brother.

    When I 1st bought petrol it was 4and 11pence, 5 shillings, or 5 bob and a penny per gallon.

    That equates to 25p per gallon average in 1966??

    Well I'm 57 and that's what I 1st paid:T:rotfl::rotfl:

    You get wet, cold, can't listen to music and get killed when you get knocked off by some dozy driver. Sounds great

    I got tired of paying up to £500 a month for fuel so I bought myself the bluemotion edition of the VW Passat at the turn of the year, its averaging 64mpg :)

    I get almost 1000 miles to a tank of diesel now.

    Possibly because, for a lot of people, cars ARE essential, and we have no choice but to pay these prices. Not everyone lives in a city centre and works a 9 to 5 job.

    Are Chinese motorbikes and scooters special? I'm fairly certain my Japanese motorbike still uses petrol, that has to be paid for at the same price as everyone else.

    £1.12-1.17 where i live the local being the dearest shot up yesterday from 1.12 and bout 5 miles to nearest town and the good news is the govt is putting 1p tax on it on april 1st, !!!!!! arent they having enough laughs on us without making us april fools too.as an ex petrol station cashier i seen the business dwindle in 2008 due to the rocketing prices and as most of our business was hgv's coming off the ferrys they were decimated every week was a diferent story of which company had gone bust, not just the small ones either, looks like another summer of misery for drivers everywhere, just when the govt assured us the recession was over:( aint looking good from where im sitting.

    Many years ago I put a 50p coin into a 24hr pump and got my motorbike tank filled. I went home, told my brother and he went and got his car filled up for 50p too!
