Some old bug-gers like me remember when it was two shillings (10p) a GALLON. In those days I could never afford to put in more than 3 or 4 gallons, whereas now I always fill up, so perhaps it is cheaper pro rata now than it was then.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Diesel where we live at the moment is 117 i noticed last night it had gone up again that is my local garage down the road joys of living in a rural area .
If i drive to my nearest big town which is 13 miles away it is a couple pence cheaper so not really worth it .

I remember when there was a big fuss saying that if it ever got to £1 a litre there would be riots on the street (maybe not quite as extreme!) and lorry drivers blocking roads and god knows what else.0

110.9p at Asda, Shell and Jet in my town today. It's 115.9p just 4 miles away at a rural garage.0

I'm not sure if putting bloody petrol into your car is good for the engine? :SThe quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.
