Bloody Petrol Prices

to be fair, you've got to be slightly crazy to pay £1 for a litre of water. especially when you can get the same thing run out of the tap for virtually zilchoid.
Well at airports they ban you from taking liquids and then you get stuck airside for 2-3 hours and just want some water. Must pay £1.69 for 750ml of water. Hate the 2 for £2 offers - I don't want 1.5 litres of water! They do have water fountains/public toilets but I'd rather not try those.
When I got my licence (pre-Uni), petrol was about 60p a litre. That's doubled now. Mind you, bus tickets were less than £1 back in the day, now it's more than tripled.0 -

Tell me about it! try running a car that only uses Shell V power and rarely sees over 18mpg. Still worth it though.0

I think my wife reckons I've developed tourettes as every time we drive past a petrol station I just can't stop my self from saying, "for ****s sake, it's gone up another ****** pence since yesterday!"0

i still put £10 in mine each time.....but about 5 times more often than i used to

Gone up 5p a litre at most of the filling stations near me. Supermarkets included. 111.9p to 116.9p
Nice of them just before the budget and more fuel duty to be added.0 -

Now that is a long time ago.:p
I remember it being 4/11 a gallon (5.5p a litre) when I was a lad but by the time I started to drive, 1974, it was 54p a gallon (11.9p a litre).0 -
This time next year we will all be saying, £1.25 a litre, that's cheap.:D0
