This is my first campaign so I'm wondering if it's probably beneficial to phone my orderees the day before I plan on delivering just to remind them? Is this the usual practice?

    Hey aless

I try to get a note out to all my customers that have orders due, saying this is your order, this is how much it is, and I will be delivering on x day at x time, if this is not convenient, please let me know.

Sometimes if I haven't had had time to do this, I text the customers that I know I can get away with texting, some only provide me house numbers, so I call them or drop a note around.

When I text I say the same thing, this is your order amount, I will be delivering on x day at x time, if this is not convenient, please let me know.

Well like we always suggest to people who are thinking of joining - go with a sales leader, rather than through the official website as you'll end up with an area manager helping you. I did this and regret it - area managers just view you as a way to hit their targets, so once you've placed your first target thats usually the last you'll hear of them. There could be someone on here who's local to you (with you being in Cheshire I might not actually be that far away depending where abouts you are), if not look in your local paper and theres usually an advert in them. Ask a few questions, and judge if you like them, and how pushy they seem.

I think it just depends on the Area Manager - there are some fantastic Area Managers depending what part of Cheshire you are in.

Also, word of warning, the Cheshire papers often contain adverts for people who are not Cheshire based (circa 100+ miles away) - so always ask on the phone where the Sales Leader is based. Ideally you want a local based person as they can offer the personal touch.

Hi everyone, I've been watching this thread for a while and thinking about joining up, was wondering if there's anyone on here from East Yorkshire or anyone that can point me in the right direction rather than signing up on the website?

Also going on whats being said am I right in thinking that if your orders less than the £78 mark you get no discount so don't make anything?

And as you can see from my signature I'm on a DMP so my credit ratings totally shot, is this a problem?

Thanks in advance and I hope no-one minds me jumping in x

Cannot help on the East Yorkshire thing.
If your order are less than £78 you do not earn commission. A way around this is to order things for yourself out of the Hello Tomorrow (Representatives Mag) which has the discount already taken off (and sometimes it's slightly more than the 25%)

When you are appointed, the SL/ASM will ask Credit Scoring questions:
    1 Do you own/rent/other?
2 Do you have a bank account (how long for)
3 Do you have a credit card
4 Do you have any catalogues

Usually if the credit scoring comes back ok, then no problems. Sometimes they randomly credit check people (not sure what makes them do that)

Top tip - stick to your initial credit limit and don't go over on your 1st order (else your order will be held - they may make you prepay part of it and may do a full credit check)

Personally, why not apply and try, you have nothing to lose.
  • Not had any luck believe it or not trying to track down a SL in Hertfordshire let alone close to where I live......nothing in the local paper and google searched and had no luck. struggled on Facebook to search too, could only find one bloke and his page is blank with a link to a website that doesnt work

    can anyone suggest anything?

If not guess I bite the bullet and contact Avon direct...on a good not I supose that means there isnt much competition round here and if I get my act together I could earn a few bob.

Welll done Johanne, please excuse my ignorance, new rep on my first set of books!
Can you let me know or where do you find out how to get to different levels ie Bronze pc is that presidents club? or is presidents club different?
Looking at the figures that you have put do you need to get over £1000 in the next 8 campaigns? and why only 8?
Sorry to ask all the questions if it has already been mentioned on here.
    Linzi
p.s Collected first sets of books on my territory and have £130 in orders, i have redelivered the books to collect on Wednesday so i'm hoping to make 25% commision:D

Hi yeah Pc is presidents club.. its on the website but basically you need:

PC Bronze level : £6500 in sales
PC Silver Level : £15500 in sales
PC Gold level: £33000 in sales (i think) might be £35,000

You have 18 campaigns to make presidents club each year.. from campaign 1 book to campaign 18 book.... so you need to make an average of £362 in sales a campaign to make PC for that year.

However in your first year as you usually join half way through you have a chance to become a PC Assossiate memeber... which is making £6500 in sales in your first 18 campaigns with Avon.

    Its all a bit complicated!!:rotfl:

My figures do mean i have to make £1027 a campaign now for the next 8 campaigns to make silver level.. this is because im on campaign 11 now so only have 8 campaigns in my selling year left (including this one) and I am £8216 off the £1550 target! :)

It takes a while to get your head around it all. :)
  • hi all. Hope you have a fab weekend.

I was just wondering if anyone has an iphone. I was thinking of getting one and was curious as to whether we can get onto the avon site and do our orders using the phone.

I have a bog standard pay as you go phone at the moment so forgive me if this is a stupid question

Hi cattyfingers, it's not a stupid question. I had a rep who used her friend's iPhone to register her orders and she didn't seem to have any problems doing it.

Sorted my Avon delivery tonight ... only 1 item missing from Avon's error but I forgot to order 2 items for one customer :eek: not sure how, I've never done that before. Had to put an additional order in so will pay £7.50 for £5 of products :mad: Far too much going on recently ... think Avon plus full time work plus running a household is too much sometimes especially when I get a big order like this one. Considering quitting territory and just sticking to F&F now there's more customers at work. Never going to make PC so putting myself through all this hassle & headaches seems a bit pointless :(

No guarantees but worth trying.... if Avon actually make an error on your order and then you find you need extra product too, it's a good idea to mention it in the same telephone call. I did recently and wasn't charged the £2.50 for the additional order being that they needed to send something out pdq due to their own error. ;)
