I had a total hystorectomy a couple of years ago, after many years of shame, imagine a lady in cream trousers suddenly try to hurry of a boat with her jacket tied round her waist to hide the blood from crotch to knees.

Ablation didnt work, my fibroids were entrenched and a full hysterctomy was needed with ovaries removed because I had endo.

I have continace problems and they are not the end of the world, my nerves are damaged and the NHS provides me with everything I need, I use a leg bag which requires no bladder function at all and a night bag stands next to my bad for overnight use.

I uncontorlably pass pure burning acid from my ulcers vis my rectum and need urgent toileting and maybe a change of clothes (I always carry a spare set for accidents).

I totally under stand his problems but not his need for a BB or DLA.

And you are working how many hours per week?

Shegirl, I merely asked for advice, I was not infuriated that he had not received it, was just wondering if it was worth him appealing the decision.

In relation to nappies you have not seen many then, as tena actually produce an adult size pampers. That is what a nappy is and I have never heard anyone call an incontinence pad a nappy before.

As I am sure you realise yourself, being doubly incontinent is a disability, he could be sitting at home claiming benefits, but he is not. He is not entitled to DLA fair enough, I accept that and so does he. Your need to belittle is quite upsetting though.

I don't really class it as a disability for my son to be honest because although he needs changing and cleaning,as far as I can see it does not impair his life (others may bully etc and if he was aware of difference and it bothered him I would see it as something that could cause him emotional distress but that's all).

All professionals I know call all the products pads even the large nappy type ones (that my son wears)they still call them pads :)

And I can honestly say if it was me I'd rather wear one than pee or soil myself in public for the sake of something smaller tbh I know the thought of it must be horrible and humiliating, but I don't think it's as bad as it may seem

it is and it was caused by the medication prescribed to me, my insides are ruined and will never get better but im still alive.

The acids fine within the body, it has a purpose but its not meant to reach the outside that isnt protected from burns, TMI I know.

From speaking to others it appears you are a regular forum troll, and I will no longer feed you. Good day to you xxx

sunnyone sorry but now your the one coming across with a chip on your shoulder, why?

I thought, that i read here a few times that BB can be given to those NOT on dla if the council feel they warrant it. His obviously does, why have you got issues with that.

and no i am not waving my disability card.

Am not getting into any form of argument, but am sure you are fully aware of the difference between a pad and a nappy.

    No, I'm not.

In care homes, incontinence pads are usually referred to as nappies and the post I thanked was clearly referring to pads.

You have totally misunderstood what was posted (as if anyone would think that a grown man would wear a real nappy - complete with extra large safety pin?) and you're not prepared to apologise for your mistake.

Will you lot just pack it in.

    All this is so childish.

Why can't you all just accept this person wanted advise, you then start having digs... and they dive on the op when she gets upset and has a go back, you wound her up with the comments, what do you expect her to do roll over except the criticism and not respond, of course not because that us exactly what you are doing back

If your going to be critical of her comments then you should be old enough to take some yourself.

Sunnyone you didn't need to go into full detail, but you did, you have left yourself open to responses you may not like, but if you can't take criticism perhaps you should stop giving it.

oldernotwiser just because you have been here a very long time, perhaps too long, doesn't give you the matriarch title, nor give you the right to demorolise anyone you deem to be below you.

no wonder people on post a few times and never return. and no lets not blame the trolls, i'm on about honest people, but you guys just take the approach that everyone is a troll.

    stop being so damn nasty

    Hang about!

All I did was thank a poster who suggested that this guy used incontinence pads and I was singled out for it! I'd be grateful if you could give me an example of a post where I have "demoralised" someone because I think that you must be fantasising if you think that this is the case.

It might be more useful if you were critical of the OP for describing another poster's description of her own need for incontinence products as "absolute tosh", which was one of the rudest comments that I've read on here.

You need to stop stirring and read what has actually been written more carefully!
