    Hi Crabman, link below:

There was only 1 Crabman, and it had a small "c", not a capital. For whatever reason I have no sent items! And to think, I used to be a BT engineer at the forefront of comms technology.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks, I've added that.

It looks like there are two Crabmans (Crabmen?) on MSE:

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

  • I have the latest version of a standard letter from Roxburghe on behalf of APCOA. As a new member I can't post the link. Would you like a copy of it?
  • Hi,

I hope you can help as I am at my wit's end! I moved to Hong Kong in September. A couple of week's prior to this I parked in a Co-op car park in Northern Ireland which had parking restrictions which I was unaware off. I was driving a rental car sorted out by my car insurance company as someone had crashed into me and totalled my car a week previously. My details were registered to my edlerly mother's home and a couple of months after I moved out here she forwarded some post to me in Hong Kong which included several letters from Civil Enforcement Ltd demanding I pay the parking fee. I had simply no idea I had broken any rules regarding parking.

I looked at the advice on this forum and therefore ignored the letters. i have now received another batch of post and it included 3 letters from Newlyn PLC dated the 12th December, 22nd December and most recently the 3rd January demanding I pay an increased fee of £180!!! The most recent letter states NOTICE PRIOR TO COUNTY COURT PROCEEDINGS. The letters also warn me to pay to avoid a distressing course of action and considerable further cost to myself.

What should i do? Still ignore? I dont want my poor mother being harrassed should these people turn up or start calling her. Also - if any further letters arrive i wont know aboout it for another couple of months as i have no access to my post. (all my odds and ends were tied up before i left the Uk so the only post which comes for me is bank statements and I manage all this online).

I do own a home which is rented out - am I at any risk of loosing this if I continue to ignore the letters? Please, please help me.

Losing your home, what are you on about? Calm down!

You/your Mum should still be ignoring the letters, it's all a scam.

You got no replies because you posted in the wrong place, this is a thread to show letters only. I expect Crabman will tidy all the non-letter related posts off this thread soon as it never gets to 2 pages and is not for general discussion. It's a resource for one page of info only.

Here's the main forum, read some threads now - learn about the scam -and start your own thread if you are still jumpy:

You must read the sticky called 'welcome, please read before posting'. That's what it's there for. :D

NO REPLIES HERE PLEASE - EXCEPT TO POST ABOUT NEW LETTERS!!!

Sorry but it's best that people repost, I simply don't have time to keep splitting posts into new threads and MSE forums aren't the most easy to work with. We now have to enter our login info a second time which is more hassle.

You wouldn't believe how long it takes to split posts to a new thread and then have to send a PM to the OP (inevitably a new member) to let them know.

Just a reminder that all board guides are volunteers and are not members of staff. Hope you all understand there's only so much I can do.

If it is significantly different to the letter we already have then it would be helpful, thank you. Don't forget to remove personal/identifiable info and any barcodes/other codes on the correspondence :)

Yep, I know you are a volunteer - and a very helpful person too. Didn't know how much hassle it is to split threads though, what a pain!

Anyhoo as long as no more newbies post new queries here we will be fine...waits for the next newbie saying 'my case is different and I thought I would post here on a thread that's clearly a sticky information only thread but...'
