Yes, that is correct. Give them F.A. Go use Sainsburys in Paignton instead if you must pay more for your shop, if not go to Morrisons or Asda.

Wherever you go, remember that any of these FAKE tickets is completely ignorable. DO NOT write to the Euro Car Park morons, just laugh as they waste £5 or more trying to chase on a scam that isn't going to work.

Sainsbury must be stupid if they are prepared to lose a good customer in order for Euro Car Parks to try and do a scam which in the event will be unsuccessful.

If the car is registered to you, you could be in line for a nice little earner by suing for harassment, too.
  • Just to say a big thank you for those who replied and we agree two wrongs don't make a right and our apologises to those genuine blue badge holders for our lack of respect
I can understand the wife's frustration when you go shopping and you see free blue badge spaces and 3 or 4 blue badge holders have parked in the C&P spaces i guess we all do stupid things when your annoyed.
And i do hope Salisbury pick up on these comments as i am sure its never good to hit your customers hard why dont they use common sense and try a name and shame board for repeat offenders or a large notice on your windscreen saying your parked in a blue badge space and your not disabled and shame people in to doing the right thing,
Well sainsbury,s we wont be back until we have at least spent a £1000 on shopping with your rivals

I wouldn't be too contrite about it, half the "blue badge" holders I see getting out of vehicles look fitter than most of Brighton's forward line.. (sorry Coupon-Mad!!:rotfl:)

Only joking. No-one here condones misuse of disabled spaces, but what we do deplore is the black industry that tries to cash in on it- usually, it has to be said, at the expense of the disabled themselves.

Its a company called searchlight they have been mentioned on watchdog.
    Alright my 'ansome?

Let me guess. Umm, did this happen at Lamorna?

Parking Collection Services are an offshoot of a debt collection agency called Debt Recovery Plus who are frequent bedfellows of private parking companies and often mentioned here.

Remember: A debt collector has powers to collect debts but what they won't tell you is that you have exactly the same ones. They can be summed up as follows: They can ask for you to pay up. And that's it. They are persistent and will issue all kind of threats and inducements for you to pay but they have no more power than my milkman to make you pay. Ignore them.

As for Searchlight its about time their website was taken down. Besides breaching the eCommerce Regulations and the Business Names Act it also breaches the Companies Act and, quite possibly, the Distance Selling Regulations. Were one to compare Searchlight's avowed intention to uphold the law by chasing "offending" motorists to its adherence to other aspects of it (as demonstrated by their website) one might conclude that they have something of a selective attitude.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

I had the pleasure of visiting my local Aldis today, ive noticed before that Parking eye had got their grubby little signs all over the car park for about 6months now, I then noticed while in the queue to pay for my shopping that they have 2 keypad looking machines where apparently you have to "log in your details"of your vehicle to avoid paying a hefty charge,I was having a right old giggle playing "dumb customer"with the checkout girl when I revealed to her that i have never logged in my vehicle details when she revealed that I would be "fined" for overstaying my "time".She was adamant that I would be fined and it was up to me to "take that chance" cos it could get "costly" even when I told her that Parking Eye just frighten people into payment she didnt believe me so rather than go into a long spiel I have pointed her in the right direction to this site/forum.Really looking forward to the next time I go in and see whether her view has changed... its just a pity that I couldnt have "helped" the several people who were(in her words) "fined" by this unscroupulous company.Cant wait to see if I get begging letters from P.Eye
Ignore these companies and their pathetic "fines and threatening" letters.I just wondered if anyone has seen these "log in your details machines" before?not that i think they make a difference whether to ignore a "fine" but it seems that they make parking in the car park look more "legal" by logging in your details....tch tch have P.Eye found a new way to frighten people? YAWN

Well now, there's a new one. Presumably the parasites are hoping that some of the elderly disabled drivers will make a mistake "logging in" so that they can be hounded for a "fine" that they don't owe. Just no depths to which these people won't sink... and let's hope that when people find its dearer to shop at Aldi when you add in the scam charges, they will go somewhere else...

but it's all meat and drink to those who are prepared to fight back against the car park cowboys...
  • Just received the parking charge enforcement notice from euro car parks and balance is now £60 and we are still ignoring

It will go up again; but hold your nerve and the last amount demanded will be £0.00. In other words, the demands will cease when they realise thet are wasting their time. Keep us informed!
  • one of the dining establishments in the village where I was parked when I ran afoul of Euro has a login screen as well. Alas, I didn't eat there.

This carpark is also ajoining an Aldi. I don't know whether they have login screens, but am now tempted to go and look.
