Perhaps this thread should be closed?
I could add a final post with clear instructions on how to start a new thread, do you think that would work?
Obviously, those wishing to contribute to the first post would have to PM me with their image links as they wouldn't be able to post here.0 -

Yes yes yes, have often thought this would work as long as newbies know where to look at the whole forum - read the stickies first and watch the Watchdog clip -and how to start a new thread.
And how to pm new images to you of course!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

crabman can you add the other watchdog clips to the thread as well, there is little point bumping a thread when the info should be hereExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Just had one of these PCNs from Euro Car Parks for using a Lidl Car Park near the town centre in Chesterfield. I was in the car park for 20mins using a shop over the road and when i came back i saw the attendant in the car park but nothing in the shape of a ticket on the car at all although i saw him watching me leave. This was back on 22nd Dec.
Just had a letter through the post today as per the normal EuroPark letters shown further up and they are trying to do me for staying longer than i should, limit is one hour i believe and bearing in mind i was on my lunch break which is one hour and it takes me 10/15mins to get to town from work its impossible i was over an hour, and also says i've failed to pay within the time specified so the account has increased as per their T&Cs. First contact i've had from them bearing in mind the attendant appears to have made a note of my car as i was leaving and didnt get a chance to put anything on the car and there is no way i was over an hour anyway. They are asking for payment with 28 days but as per the advice on here i intend to ignore it completely and any further letters chasing it...i assume this is fine?
If by some miracle it did get to court their first stumbling block is proving i was there longer than an hour bearing in mind my swipe card at work will show me leaving and returning to work inside about 45mins!!
Following on from the above i've now had a letter from a collection agency with the usual stuff on it but it doesnt appear to match any of the usual ones mentioned on the thread showing the various letters in use. Managed to scan it into a PDF file and just wondered if its the same stuff mentioned in a new form and i'm still ok to just ignore it?
As i've not posted enough i cant add a link but i can send it to someone for them to post if folk want to see it.0 -
You can post the link here (or PM me), just drop the "http://" and "www" from the front0

Euro Car Parks now seem to use Roxburghe and Graham White letters:

Maybe someone here can pm the letter-chain to Crabman asap as our letters in the top thread still show Control Account. Also the letter shown in this link on pepipoo is worded slightly differently than typical GW letters.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi guys,
Following on from the above i've now had a letter from a collection agency with the usual stuff on it but it doesnt appear to match any of the usual ones mentioned on the thread showing the various letters in use. Managed to scan it into a PDF file and just wondered if its the same stuff mentioned in a new form and i'm still ok to just ignore it?

To answer your question, of course it's OK to ignore it.
It's a case of same sh*t, different wording.0 -
I recently received a PCN in Feltham London by euro carparks and the company gave me a PCN attached to my window because I parked the car covering 2 bays. its a free car park of leisure centre feltham and there are no time limit or pay & display.
I fallen to their trap of appeal within their system and admitted the responsibility of driving and gave them honest reason of my registered disable nephew who required more access to exit the car and other car was parked on the white marked bay, hence I parked away so he doesn't damage the other parked cars. my car was in two bays and hugging the next bay.
I found your forum just now, question is where do I stand as my appeal is unsuccessful and they are demanding £50 pounds in 14 days otherwise it will go up to £70.0 -
Still ignore them. The DDA insists that reasonable adjustments are made. Others will give you better advice, but while you are waiting for that, ignore the scammers.0

I have bad news and good news.
The bad news is your appeal will be unsuccessful. I don't need a crystal ball to know that, as ALL appeals to this or any other company are unsuccessful, no matter what the grounds or what the evidence. Their system is a complete sham.
The good news is that you don't have to pay £50 or £70. You will pay them £0. This is because the ticket they have given you has no validity in law and cannot be enforced. The ticket is a try-on, a scam, a con trick. They know they cannot enforce it; the legal basis they try and bamboozle you with doesn't stand up in court, as they have found to their cost; so they don't take it to court, they just tell you they will. It doesn't happen,
You will receive a series of template letters, each one designed to scare you more than the last one- from ECP, a toothless and useless debt collector, maybe even a phony solicitor; but if you DO NOT respond, when they have been through their full range of correspondence, they will figure that (despite the fact you were silly enough to appeal as you thought their ticket actually meant something) you are not, in reality, a mug.
And they will bow out of your life for ever.
BTW, I invariably park across two spaces when in a ECP controlled car park (so long as it isn't full, of course.) This is because the notice says "park in marked bays only" Bays, plural. So I park in bays!
Unfortunately I haven't managed to get a ticket so far. I obviously don't have your luck. But that is the CONTEMPT with which you need to treat these would-be scammers.
