Just to let you know that I made a complaint to the Solicitors Regulatory Authority regarding Graham White Solicitors, Surrey - I have now received their response - they say that they have received so many complaints about Graham White solicitors that they are not going to take my complaint forward personally but adding it to their "investigation" of the company which is already taking place.:rotfl:

Form this it is clear that Michael Sobell trading as GW is allowing his name to be put on the letterhead of threatening letters sent by debt collectors in an effort to scare recipients into paying (on the basis a solicitor is involved). It seems clear that he can have had no idea of what and how valid the claim is in each individual case before committing his "firm" to this mail chain. As a result it seems clear to me that there may be numerous breaches of the Solicitors Code of Practice but only the SRA could decide this and you will need to keep on top of them to get redress.

Ripped off driver, the SRA have advised me that they will let me know the outcome of their investigations into Michael Sobell/Graham White Solicitors - I will of course let this forum know the outcome - I really hope they sort something out because this person/firm is/are scaring people into coughing up monies unnecessarily.

I have received the same letter from Parking Collection Services Ltd who have said they have purchased the debt also. They are obviously desperate to get any money possible by any which way, very sad! lol
I have ignored all letters and my contravention date was 18/09/2009!!!

Worth mentioning on here as I did on pepipoo.

Got a ticket last year from central ticketing, anyhow I complained to my local MP, the following was his reply:

Dear Mr *****

I thank you for your recent email and I note what you say.

It is not only a problem with bogus tickets being issued, but also many companies are now clamping vehicles and then demanding an exorbitant fee to release them. This must be stopped and I have been pressing the Government for early action on the matter.

I hope the Government may actually introduce new laws following the Queens Speech in mid - November.

I trust in your own case, you did not pay the "parking ticket" that you received.
If you were hassled in any way or threatened further, I would be interested to know.

I am greatful to you for getting in touch and bringing this incident to my attention.

Did it this weekend actually ! thought id have a tidyup so got it all scanned and emailed it to him, he's actually an MP I like

Mentioned pepipoo and mse threads when I first got in touch with him last year.

Might have to again soon with a DDA issue at the local LIDL operated by Euro of which im still waiting for a reply from their "more senior representitive".
