Tell me about it!!! I think they only do a few weddings a day and this St Pauls is by far the most popular, as it is scenic. But I hoped I'd be able to get one of the other chapels, St George's or St Dimitris, for that date because it would be 10 years to the day that we met!

I have just had a wedding planner email summary that tells me there is 157 days to my wedding. It sounds likea lot of days but considering what I have to do it bloody isn't!!!! Off to Manchester tomorrow, my cake stand has arrived at my parents, I can't wait to play with it, might get some cakes to test it out :rotfl:

I don't know how you cope! I started planning in January and got really excited and did loads then and got impatient because it was so far away

It's a 4 tier cake stand buut I think I might stack 2 for the bottom layer as the M&S cakes sound quite thin, 1 might look lost

I am so annoyed - i have just been told that the best man does not want to make a speech (in front of 20 guests!)

I have already been blackmailed into having his new girlfriends baby there - when i specifically said no children at the ceremony and the breakfast - so why the hell can't he make a speech?!?!?!?

I want to hit him!

Why doesn't he want to do a speech?
Maybe he's shy? For some peoplel even small crowds can be intimidating.
My Dad was really nervous about speaking at my sister's wedding & kept asking me to do it!
But in the end, my mum wrote a brief one for him that just thanked the right people with no silly jokes in it.

Maybe if you offer to do the same it might help.

Also, what does your OH think? He might be able to help, or suggest another groomsman to step in.

I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than speak in front of a group of people.

Some people just don't like the thought of public speaking and I have to say I don't blame them.

My Dad is so nervous that he doesn't want to walk me down the aisle.

Upto now we have joked about it, but I think he is deadly serious so my strapping 14 year old will be doing it instead

I can't wait for my dad to walk me down the aisle. He hasn't got to worry about too many people as we're only having a small wedding,

Best man has said that it might take him a few drinks to be ready to give a speech but I'm sure he'll be fine

all the guest were invited to the whole thing, church and night time, but you could not really tell until the night with the empty chairs etc
