Gulp!! _pale_ Well, the ceremony is booked - 12 September 2011 at 5.45PM at St Pauls Bay, Lindos. Guess that means I'm getting married then!!;)

Not the date we wanted but it's not the end of the world, but the time is much later in the day than we had hoped for! How am I going to avoid my man for the entire day, but also manage to stop him getting bored and then drunk?! Dinner is going to be more like a supper now too!

hi joho that is late isnt it! send him off sightseeing for the day while you relax by the pool then hel be able to take you back to the nice places hes come across, look up their tourism website for ideas first with the strict instructions no alcoholic drinks til at most an hour before the ceremony starts!

Ha ha! Thanks bubbles! Sightseeing would be a good idea, but we've both been there umpteen times and know our way around like the backs of our hands! I think we'll have a leisurely breakfast for the main wedding party and then part about midday!

And there are even later ceremonies than that! 6.30 and 7.15PM too!

I need to make preliminary enquires with the registrars and I have no idea what time to ask about. We want the meal as a late lunch, around 2pm, photos before lunch. So would 12.30 be okay? Is that enough time?

Is that Lindos in Rhodes? Its beautiful! We stayed nearby in Pefkos a few years ago and saw a few weddings and receptions.
I think 5.45 isn't bad at all as you avoid the heat of the day

if it was a late wedding here then it would be easy to keep apart but as your both away at the same time itl be more difficult

gemmzie it depends how many photos youll have and how long the ceremony lasts, find out off the registrar then think about what pics you want then youll be able to say what time it can start

Yes fran-o - it's Lindos, Rhodes. The ceremony is going to be at St Pauls Chapel and Bay which is the most picturesque and popular spot.

Pefkos is nice too - we've been there before! The beach there is great - long, wide and flat! And quieter than Lindos beaches.

Agree totally that 5.45 is not too bad - cooler and no squinting in photos hopefully! :D
