How much to give OH for rent bills etc?

.....In fact I think that making sure your OH is safe and protected whatever happens is what you do when you are in love - you don't risk them being left high and dry. That is why DH has his own account and why I have life insurance to look after him if I die.

If I die, OH will get my pensions and 3 x my salary and my kids get my life insurance. All three will get peace and quiet

If he dies, I get his house, his pensions, his life insurance AND 4 x his salary :T

My OH and I have a simple set up, we have a joint account which we each pay half of the monthly bills into, £500 each. We earn roughly the same each month so that's not a problem. We keep our own accounts for anything we have left, what we do with that is up to us.
