Portugals a lovely place have only been to Albufera (sp) and Alvor. Thailands a great place and cheap as hell when you get there, I've never been to Sri Lanka before so going to do a tour round the island.
Oh did the sex and the city box set before xmas and I loved it. Wish I could aford to live their lifestyle though. Where are you thinking of heading next BubblyMumbles ?
I watched all of them when they were on TV but I'm really enjoying seeing it all again with the box set. Yah, would be nice to afford their lifestyle! I remember looking at property in Manhattan a few years ago, OMG, that's a lottery win and then some!
Not sure where we're headed next, definitely Scotland somewhere though.0 -

We move a lot by choice because we can, we have no ties and it's a small world, there's lots of places to explore out there.
What about you galvanizersbaby, what's your news?
I too am enjoying some wine (perhaps a little to much though this evening)so off to bed now
I am going to New York for the weekend after Easter as OH has to deliver some training courses out there over a 3 week period (I've never been so looking forward to it)
We went out to a wedding at a little ranch near the Grand Canyon last month which was a real experience (most non traditional wedding I've ever attended but great as the bride is a pilot and flew herself in to the ranch by helicopter)
We had a couple of days in LA and then drove to Vegas - then went to the wedding - then back to Vegas - loved it - very hectic though - needed another holiday to recover
Feel only fair to point out I'm not childfree (though quite a few of my friends are) so hope you don't mind me joining in0 -

Although Venus' trips to Sri Lanka and Thailand sound very exciting
I've been to Alberfuria (sp?) both times - think Villamoura is supposed to be a bit quieter though never been.
Bet you have a great time.
I've not been to Thailand but OH was born in Sri Lanka so we talk a lot of going there0 -

Know lots about Scotland - my sister lives there and my dad is scottish so visited many times as a child - beautiful scenery and lifestyle but my sis is in quite a remote location which gets lonely at times so don't think I'd want to live there0 -

No worries, I had kind of gathered you weren't CFBC!
Wow your trip to the wedding sounds like fun, and OMG I am so jealous that you'll soon by in NYC!!! You will love it!! I've never spoken to anyone that's been there and didn't! How long have you got there? Let me know if I can point you in the direction of anything - shopping, shows, shopping etc.0 -

I'm Scottish and curently live in a tiny wee village in the Highlands, although I'm from Glasgow!
I travel all over the place and love it but I'd only live in Scotland (well, maybe New York if I won the lottery!)
Where does you sis live?0 -

To Bubbly, just wanted you to know that you are definately not alone in feeling isolated and the only one out there. I am 36 and almost all of my friends are settled down with kids and they don't have time for friendships anymore. I've tried to get a social group together for women in their thirties who don't want kids but my ad got a very disappointing response. Sometimes I feel very alone in my decision but it's clear from this forum there are many others who feel the same. Does anybody know of any UK sites or UK groups that childfree people can join? Everything I've researched so far seems to be in America. Thanks for bringing the topic up!0

I know how you feel my two bestfriends have had kids and I never see them now it's all baby baby baby and now only spend time with others who have kids.
I'm dreading my other friends wedding this year as they've said they are gonna have kids asap so I imagine it'll go the same way. Although I am happy for them as it's what they want it's just a case of feeling sorry for myself over very close friendships that have gone by the wayside.0
