food for thought
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/1941195/Marriage-without-children-the-key-to-bliss.html
"Repeated studies have shown that the period immediately surrounding childbirth can be the most stressful that couples experience. Psychologists have also found that couples with children are less satisfied with their marriage than those without. "Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
Thanks for this, that's interesting.
I particularly like this -
"Prof Gilbert said that a desire by couples to get a return on the time and money they have invested in their children is part of the reason they persuade themselves that their offspring are enhancing their lives."
I've always suspected something like this as the reason people with kids desperately try to convince not only CFBC people but also themselves that having kids is the best thing in world.
Wrong! Talk about deluding yourself!0 -
I see you guys are still on the same topic of analysing, pondering etc... (lol!)
Anyone got anything non child related news or stuff you've been up to post about?0 -

When are you off...and whereabouts are you going? - I've been to Portugal twice and loved it!0 -
Yep booked two Holidays going to Thailand in June and Sri Lanka dirt biking in October. Still doing my spanish classes once a week (badly), and sitting here having a glass of wine and watching Cougar Town while having a catch up on emails.0

We're going mid June to Albuferia (sp?), have only ever been to Villamoura (sp?) and loved it there, so looking forward to it. OH has never been. Ooh getting excited now.
Although Venus' trips to Sri Lanka and Thailand sound very exciting0 -

I'm currently working my way through the box set of Sex and the City and reminiscing about being in New York many times, enjoying some wine and contemplating where we're going to move to next. We move a lot by choice because we can, we have no ties and it's a small world, there's lots of places to explore out there.
What about you galvanizersbaby, what's your news?0 -
Portugals a lovely place have only been to Albufera (sp) and Alvor. Thailands a great place and cheap as hell when you get there, I've never been to Sri Lanka before so going to do a tour round the island.
Oh did the sex and the city box set before xmas and I loved it. Wish I could aford to live their lifestyle though. Where are you thinking of heading next BubblyMumbles ?0
