Er, troll alert? If not, please direct me to the new 'nikes for for the poor' government scheme, I haven't heard anything about it.
I'd hate to think you were just spewing hate filled stereotypes straight from the Daily Mail and the Sun.0 -
Probably because they are off dong something infinitely more interesting than trying to save money or be in the families forum......as childless people have no concept of family [evidently...]
Well I am married, my and OH are a family we just don't want kids.
I'm off work for two weeks holiday, OH could only get one week and on Saturday we'll be on a flight to Barcelona for a week, I've just spent the last week doing stuff around the house and garden that were begging to be done, this afternoon I've been loading up the ipod with some new tunes for next weeks hols, last night I went to the local for a couple because I felt like it.
You pick up some very useful information in all of these forums, and just because we don't have kids we shouldn't want to save money were we can ? Money that could be used to go towards other things we are looking to do this year like motorbiking across Nepal (not cheap but again our choice to do). Saving for a new car, I want to put a conservatory on the house. Just because I don't have kids I shouldn't care about money.
(Zazen its not you I'm taking a dig at)0 -

I was making some suggestions as to why people without kids wouldn't see this thread......not that I thought those things.....0 -

Sorry, I got that but had hit the send button with out saying I didn't mean you. I edited my post. I live with a serious case of foot in mouth disease, you'd think being able to read what you type before I send would help, but it doesn't.0 -

I wouldn't like for anyone who has got children to think that all of us CFBC people have the idea that it isn't a contribution and they haven't done much in their lives just because they do have children.
Opinions such as those just make us all out to be critical of everyone else's choices so how can we object to anyone thinking we are wrong in how we live our lives?0 -

I certainly agree, just because somethings not for me doesn't mean its not for someone else. Its a just case of live and let live.0 -

WHY did you find it odd and strange is the question? What about deciding not to have children is odd and strange? I'm genuinely intrigued [can I say it any differently?]...
Odd and strange is having 6 fingers or only barking in response to questions. Simply not wanting kids isn't and I'm genuinely interested as to what led you to hold this belief.0 -

Absolutely, but often that's the problem, the CFBC people aren't just left to live and let live, we're viewed as weird, not normal, strange, having something wrong with us etc. etc. byt people who have kids.
I think having kids is about the most selfish thing people can do. The incessant need to reproduce in their like is just beyond me. I think if people have such a need to be a parent then they should adopt or foster one of the countless kids that need a home.0
