I thought you had to drink lots again but was told on my 12 week scan that you dont have too on the 20 weeker....

NHS makes me laugh sometimes-differnt areas have differnt rules, you would think that it would be all the same.

I might drink some just to have a clear piccy as it wasnt so clear last time... 2 weeks tomorrow YIPPIE not that i'm counting lol

I would if you can keep it in!! At my 12 week scan they were running 50 minutes late so obviously couldn't keep it all in as you're meant to have filled your bladder up an hour before. The 2 weeks will fly by - hope all goes well

Just added Baby D to the date list - who'd have thought there were so many mums to be on here?! I live in the northeast of Scotland and am 27 weeks tomorrow. Didn't show at all until about 18 weeks, then suddenly developed a vast bump almost overnight!

This will be our first and we don't know the sex - NHS Grampian won't tell you, but we wouldn't have wanted to know yet anyway.

There used to be a good thread about having a baby "Oldstyle" on that board (I think Ancasta started it) which discussed everything you needed and definitely didn't need, but I'm afraid Baby D wasn't even a twinkle in our eyes then so I failed to take much notice! Anyone know where it is now? As a first timer at this and almost the first of my friends to be in the family way, I'd really appreciate some advice on the things it's worth spending money on and the things that are just "nice to haves".

For example, we're looking at getting a Silver Cross 3D pram system thingy which is middling to expensive, but I'd rather get one that will survive the next one as well instead of one that falls apart in a few weeks. Advice please?!
Congrats to all mums to be,

    Downsizing xx

that was like my 12 week scan.... i ended up going to the loo b4 the scan but i did keep topping up.

Its not good waiting for a scan, everyone in the room is getting fed up and some are very neavous.

I'm sure the time will go-esp when my dd of 4 wants entertaining every 5 mins:rolleyes:

Names: We've managed to choose 2 girls names we like, Isabelle & Erica. Haven't got any middle names yet, going to wait until baby comes out before making final decisions. Boys - we've come up with about 10 we like, so are going to have to narrow it down a bit! Favourites at the moment are Finlay, Caleb & Patrick.

Pregnancy Tests: If anyone is looking for some cheap but accurate tests, I used some from eBay. You buy them as strips, have to wee in a pot and dip the strip, but you can get about 10 for £3 including postage and they're really sensitive, I found they worked absolutely fine. I was discussing them on a different forum and the general consensus was that they work great.

Nappies: Does anyone use reuseable nappies? I'm considering it at the moment, are they actually cheaper than disposables? I'm not worried about the extra work involved!

Madambroke, my 20 week scan is 25 August too - let us know how it goes with yours :)

I meant to say this at the weekend but didn't get round to it. I went in Mamas & Papas on Saturday as there were some sale signs and found a great maternity swimsuit down from £20 to £5. They only had a few and it may just have been that branch but if anyone's passing one it may be worth popping in.

Also, Tesco is selling the Tommee Tippee nappy wrapper for £14.99 until Wednesday (15th). I've read they're pretty useful so thought I'd grab one (they're usually around £30)
