my son was born, on his due date, just an hour after we arrived in hospital. it was a fantastic water birth, he was 7lbs exactly and i feel amazing. we were home 12 hours later
Can we hear more stories like this please.
As a mother of...er...none, the idea of pregnancy and birth scares me
I am tempted not to read up about anything until I have to.:wall:0 -
Oh and a huge congratulations Sooz :T
I was thinking of asking after you yesterday, now I'll pick on Andycarmi instead - you're next!:wall:0 -
Well done sooz, hope you are all doing fine. Does the little chap have a name yet?0

 congratulations sooz
good to hear about a fairly easy birth.
Looking at that list makes me realise i haven't long to go myself. That is really scary as we are still sat in a bombsite rather than a living room, and we are not getting the walls plastered until Saturday, when i'll be 30+2weeks. Then, hopefully painting should be able to commence the weekend after. Fingers crossed and wood touched.
Baby appears to be dropping into my pelvis area as i got lots of low kicks yesterday, and i feel like i constantly need the loo. This brings back many memories of the early days.Hope it doesn't mean that baby pud will be here early.
I must be driving hubby mad as i have a list as long as my arm of jobs that need to be done, and unfortunately that means he will have to crack on. Never mind eh.
My friend has even less time than me as she is due on the 9th of September, so it is nice to be able to share our experiences.

SusanCarter wrote:I'm sure there's a reason as other people have been doing it too but why are you 30+2 weeks and not just 32 weeks?
Because the docs count from last period, whereas you know you ovulated on day so and so of your cycle. Therefore at 40 weeks your baby has actually been in existence 38.
But I'm just guessing...:wall:0
