100 posts in and we are going to find it's just network card failure?
    Arghhh!!
I thought we'd discounted that (or faulty ethernet cable) way back, because we were told that it worked OK when hooked up in the shop?

Just to check have you tried surfing when the firewall is disabled/uninstalled? The fact you have had it working for a week and now it doesnt tells me something has changed... it could be the OS settings or the Firewall.
Feels he is being victimized :(

Am I allowed to say services in my sig? We will see....

do't know if this will help but i had similar problem where i had "limited access" to the network. At the end it turned out i got the network key wrong by 1 letter. maybe it could be a similar problem for you. you should triple check that you entered the right network key.

Hello again, I am going to bed but just to clear up one question is your Desktop near the modem, or is it being connected via cable and a Homeplug downstairs/upstairs (I found a similar problem tonight on this forum). If this is the case then unplug the homeplugs and replug them.

Whatever the answer let us know please
