Just Rang Sky, theyb also offered me Half Price for three months which i gladly took and that free phone number still works, just keep trying and thanks everyone for their posts.

Thanks as well. Just called them and said I was "poor" and NTL would work out cheaper and they offered me either;

12 months at 25% off (with commitment) or
6 months with 25% off (no commitment) or
3 months with 50% off (no commitment)

Opted for the latter and they said they could look at the account again after 3 months ... so maybe I'll get it again ...?

Is there a particular email address - our Sky account is in the OH's name and he won't ring up and haggle! He's tried to add my details to the account so I can ring and do it (being less embarrassed about trying to save a few pennies!) but they won't do it. Now stuck with £42.50 a month!

i just tried this and got nowhere
my 12 months is up on 18 aug
when i asked for cancellations they said fine we can sort out the cancellation
i then got put through to some to discuss packages but they said they had no offers at the minute and seemed quite happy to cut me off !
any tips ?

Hi I Am tied in with sky for a year currently got movies/ sports etc for £34.00, but I would like to get rid of it and go to the basic pack, as I dont think I would be able to reduce what I am paying down any further than £34.00 otherwise I would keep it just to have. Will they let me go to the basic pack if I am contracted in or does that mean I am contracted in and have to have movies , sports etc till it runs out

teacup, I've ben with Sky for 4 years now. You can chop & change as much as you like

At Christmas I usually 'upgrade' and have all the movie channels for the kids, then January get rid of them again and go back to the basic package

They always try & talk you out of it, but stay polite but firm and you can subscribe to what you want
