I just called Sky and said that I was reviewing my monthly outgoings and couldn't afford £42.50 per month.

They put me through to a programming advisor who started asking me about what I watched, etc and best he could offer was to take away the movies making it £36 per month or both the movies and sports to £21.

Looks like I will have to threaten to cancel.

3 months half price or 12 months for 1/4 off.

Took 3 months half price.

OK, I've just finished 3 months at half price and am tied into 12 mth contract the remaining 9 mths being £15. Would it be possible to get some more half price months if I threaten to leave? or is this taking the mickey?

Just plucked up the courage to phone Sky to cancel as better deal frm NTl and spoke to a horrible man who just bombareded me with questions about what ntl were offering and how much better SKY are and what about broadband. He was not listening to me and I told him that I found him obnoxious and patroinising and that I consider it very poor customer service.
I do not know what to do now

Decided to phone SKY back and spoke to really nice man who has given me 20% of for 12 mths and I am really happy with this.

I used the 0800 5875707 to ring and was put through straight away.
