I'd take that over talk talk any day...surely better value for money, ok you have to stump up the cash first and get the cashback from the mobile provider, but isn't it worth it???

some people have already done this, but are waiting to send in their x month statement when it arrives for the cashback0 -
The main question here chaps is whether "restarting" your new 18 month contract will affect the cashback. If the 3rd party you got your cashback offer from notices that there has been ANY change in the original contract then you could be stuffed.
So does a contract "restart" affect the order number ? And perhaps the date ?
Irrespective of what the retailers say we won't know for 6 months or so ... when the 1st cashbacks are due.

I'm not looking to extend my current contract - being 5 months into an effectively free 12 month contract, it doesn't work out to such a saving if I only get the free broadband on the remaining free term of 7 months then have to pay for a further 6 months at full price.
I was thinking of purely buying a new contract phone just for the broadband. 18 months at £30 = £540, less £360 cashback deal from the retailer, £36.50 from Quidco, and a poss £40 ish from Envirophone for the handset, makes the net cost over 18 months of just over the £100 mark. For that I would have broadband and a sim card with 200 mins and 500 odd texts, at an average cost of just under £6.00 a month. Surely a cost of £6 a month for 18 months is worth doing just for the broadband, even if you never use the mobile??
My current contract is also with Orange and would be £30 a month, but a) not sure about the risk of altering the terms, and b) net cost is currently about £1 a month anyway and like I say, adding the free broadband this late into the contract doesn't work out such a bargain.0 -
If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:0 -

wow - I make that 18 months at £30 as before £540, less 15 months refunded (£450), less Quidco cashback (£20) and then say £40 estimate on Envirophone, leaves a net cost over 18 months of around £30...? Would then give you broadband access for net cost of £1.66...!
Does anyone know what this outfit are like for cashback? I'm currently using E2Save and although some people have had problems with them paying up, so far I haven't.0 -

But why are buymobilephones so much cheaper than anybody else for Orange ? I think they are an Orange business partner. But I'd rather hear from punters who have actually got cashback from this lot.
Cheers

Hi,
I am currently with Orange - but only on £25 contract - runs out next month - we are also on Wanadoo broadband 17.99 per month.
If I upgrade my phone to a £30 contract is there any other charges? We already have a BT landline.
Is there a catch or anything with the free evening and weekend minutes?Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
As an existing Mobile and Broadband customer the following is relevant :-
orange link
And this is what the link says :-
left on your contract?
You'll need to start a new contract with us for 12, 18 or 24 months. Sign up for 18 months or more and you can get a new phone. We'll also change your package to free broadband at the same time.
You should ring them up. I don't know about free evening and weekend minutes but the free broadband is subject to an approx. usage of 2GIG per month. If you use lots more than this then you need to swith to the unlimited package which will cost £10 per month.
