Click on buy and read the updated small print. They don't have inclusive texts , they have Unlimted texts.

I understand that, it is just very misleading still having that phrase on their main tariff page, especially for someone new coming to O2.

LOL yer, I edited my post, as I realised you were talking about iPhone Simplicity on non-iPhone rather than the other way around!

I agree, if they bothered to update the rest of the site they should have changed that also.

Bad move in my opinion, The texts were the only reason I was with o2 as I live on the border on northern ireland its roaming most of the time due to coverage issues. If i upgrade now i'll be out a fortune on roaming charges.

If I'm only currently on a 30 day Simplicity contract, does that mean I will be subject to the new terms next month?

No As long as you don't change anything about the tariff it will be the same, you are effecively extending your existing contract at the end of the month not starting it again.

For upgrades, you can still have the old tariffs until Sunday.

My opinion is that O2 have missed a trick here. Instead of giving Unlimited texts on all tariffs, they should have looked at Unlimited Internet on more tariffs and revising the 'fair use policy'.

Apart from texters, I'm struggling to see who these new tariffs would appeal to, also if you are texter who uses MMS, this has been removed from the text allowance.

Voicemail is no longer free and is taken from mins allowance.

Where have you got this info from? All 3rd party companies have been updated that today is the go live date.

  • Well today was the day I could finally upgrade, tried to haggle for an iphone failed miserably. So decided to switch to simplicity and upgrade at the end of this month (i would of had to wait until April before I could do a normal upgrade otherwise).

We agreed 1200mins, unlim text, unlim web for £30

However got a call back saying "sorry we can't give you the web bolt on" then another call saying "ignore the previous message".

Then I had to clarify something on my contract, and then they said "oh you can't have the web bolt on"....

At one point, I was planning to tell them to switch me back and loose my custom at the end of my contract.

Finally another call, saying "sorry we've added the web bolt on to your account"

Needless to say, retentions will need to pull a good deal out of their a** after 30 days!!!
:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!
