Today i took the plunge & have planted the tomatoes outside in there final pots & i'm leaving them there now!.
I'd been thinking of doing it for a few days as my living room was resembeling a FOREST as my 4yr old kept saying then my neighbour shouted over the fence "my toms are going out today i've had enough of them in the house" (he always gets a good crop!) so i thought " thats it so are mine ", we decided if we loose them we'll loose them together!.
So we had a communal potting on/planting out session talking over the fence & comparing i even managed to drag my little one in to helping & he enjoyed it, just hope we are not too early!.

Bertie - i`ve got a nasty concrete sectional garage down one side of the garden too :( I hate it but DH won`t get rid of it as its full of his junk :(

I would love to rip it out and use the concrete base for a huge greenhouse :D

I keep planting things around it to make the area look a bit nicer, i can`t disguise it by putting anything in front of it though or the door wouldn`t open properly. I`ve painted the door a nice deep green colour, the rest is painted cream. At least it looks tidy now.

Thats my wish too! A huge greenhouse, bigger patio (to fill with pots)....chucks...but its full! We have been thinking of putting a door in the side and a window so it can be used for seedlings etc in spring but just dont have the money or knowhow to do it ourselves.

Ahhh well here's hoping for that lotto win ,so we can buy somewhere with a bit of land;).

Furny my toms are going out this weekend, they've been in the cold frames a good week now and I need the space mine are the tumbling ones for hanging baskets, I've had a good week my cherry has finally started fruiting I've had it 4 yrs, so really excited about that, and I've got a few bean and pea pods.

It's too hot here for work or gardening we should all be in Scarborough with an ice cream.

I am in Scarborough, but no ice cream :D My first year growing stuff and I have lots of carrots, lettuce, herbs, 1 pathetic courgette which looks like its on its last legs, a tiny tomato and lots of sunflowers and nasturtiums. If I nip to the garden centre and buy a cucumber and a pepper plant, can I plant them in the morrisons black tubs or arent they big enough? Thanks

Louise I'd pot the pepper in a black pot, but I'd probably get a grow bag for the cucumber.
