Came in from a day outside to a funny burnt smell, looked in the room and I'd forgotten to take my Hyacinth blue off the windowsill. Nealdless to say some petals and foliage had burnt. I hope they can recover.

  • Now it has cooled down a bit I may be tempted outside to do a bit of much needed weeding. (That's after I have tackled a mountain of ironing which has also been waiting for a cooler day!)

Have done some weeding and hoeing this morning OH has watered the veggies with the water from the paddling pool :)

Yesterday a lovely kirklees council worker delivered a green bin to my house (not ordered by me!) Left it out and no-one else claimed it so i did :j I now have a water butt :T Does anyone know if you can buy a tap that you can fit on them?

Still no rain so dancing in the garden tomorrow when bert gets here lol x

Also think Bertie and me will be taking a trip to the garden centre at Middlestown and we may call in at Mitchells Camping (Go Outdoors!) It would be rude not to ! Thanks Optimist x

Its a lovely sunny morning here in west yorkshire. It rained a little overnight and my thirsty garden is very grateful! I have been out and watered some seedlings, hoed(sp?) round the beds and am now waiting for the large gray clouds gathering to join together and produce some more of the wet stuff:D.

I never thaught I would be wishing so much for rain over a bh weekend:rotfl:

Oooh and after loosing all my cucumber seedlings last week (they shrivelled in the heat, I didnt misplace them:rotfl:)I have found a new one! I planted a few seeds round he dying seedlings thinking it was worth another shot. Keeping my fingers crossed for a couple more:T
