Yes, stock, bouillon, whatever you have will be fine, along with any old veggies that have been hanging about all week at the bottom of your fridge for extra flavour.

    Good luck! FF

I much prefer the dark meat on a chicken or turkey and always buy legs. If you buy a good quality large turkey drumstick and roast it in the usual way it will be succulent and easily provide enough meat for two people

turkey is great for curries and thai dishes

  • They have booths in the parks in Florida selling turkey drumsticks as big as a chicken itself, didn't look very appetising to me because of the size :o

Hi....my first jdrumstick just fitted, the second lifted the lid..... so not being out done by a drum stick,;) ..... I put a sheet of aluminium foil round the top covering it and sat the lid on top! Worked fine!

Incidently I have unscrewed the plastic stopper/lid of the sc and made a plug of foil and then used it as an oven casserole in the past, when I had nothing big enough !!

    OK

Well just thought Id report back on this.

Slow cooked it for about 8 hours, then roasted for half hour. Served as part of a roast dinner

The meat was strange, salty, almost like pork.

Carving, if you can call it that, really put me off though, god it was really foul, and I have decided that Im not buying this again, no chance.
