Turkey Leg recipes

I cooked it using a large slow cooker. Rubbed olive oil, salt, pepper and thyme onto the skin and browned the leg in a frying pan. Cut an onion in quarters and put in the slow cooker with a little water in the bottom (about 2-3 cm). I rested the turkey leg on top of the onions and cooked on high for 4 hours and 3 hours on low. It was really lovely, the meat fell of the bone which was good as there are a lot of tendons in the leg. Tasted more like mild pork than turkey! Also used the remaining stock as a gravy.0
