I get these frequently from my uncle, got about 9 in the freezer at the mo!!!! I always defrost them then put in slow cooker with loads of veggies, stock and herbs, put it on high for most of the day, then take it out and strip the meat off ( I find turkey drumsticks have an unbelievable amount of bones or whatever) and mix it all back together and serve with mash or dumplings!!!!!
If i don't feel like turkey stew one week, i put the turkey in the slow cooker on its own with a bit of water then just strip the meat off to make a curry or stir fry or pie or whatever.
Hope this helps a bit, turkey drumsticks are soo cheap and i'm lucky enough to get them free that they are the perfect meal for us in the winter!!!!)

Yep like the others, roast it, slow cook it or curry it.0

There is a Gordon Ramsay recipe where he bones it out to make a flat sheet of meat, on a sheet of foil, then layers it with some nice stuffing and rolls it up to make a cracker which you then roast. I find that, once slow-cooked or gently roasted, it makes great sandwich meat/pie meat. I portion it and it freezes well.0

You could roast and then pull the meat off and use for soups, casseroles, risotto, pastas etc.
Or rub some oil, lemon, chives and mixed dried herbs into the skin, wrap in foil and cook on the BBQ I think it would work but if not you could part bake in the oven and then pop on the BBQCredit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

I have bought them in the past and have cooked them in the slow cooker either in a jar of Sainsburys basics curry, the ones that used to be 12p or a cheap tin of Tesco sweet and sour sauce, they were about 15p, not sure how much they are now.
I used to cook it on low for about 8 hours and the meat used to fall off the sinews and bone.
I did roast one once and it was like leather, I think I binned it.0
